£79.99 new on Lakeland website with 3 yr warranty if someone prefer that (edited)

Maybe it's me being fussy but I don't like the idea of using a smaller cooking appliance second hand, this discount just isn't enough. 25 quid to lose a 3 year guarantee also seems a silly decision. (edited)

It's actually 35 quid more new on the Lakeland website, just an FYI.

And as pako says, might be ideal for someone that wants to try and air fryer and not break the bank. I know a couple of people who have gone in and bought a ninja first, only to sell them a few months after as they didn't get any use.

This may sound like a daft question but here goes.....what does 'signs of use' mean in this context?

Does it mean that someone has bought and used the product and it has been cleaned and put up for sale? Or does it mean something more like a 'customer return'?

I've tried sending companies like this questions via ebay, but rarely get a conclusive answer, if I got an answer at all.

It may have been used and returned faulty, with new internals but same exterior. It could be unused but returned without original packaging and picked up a few dings in the post making it grade B.

The majority of the time with any refurbished product the parts that actually get used will look brand new (because they haven't been used or these parts have been replaced), then have scratches etc on the parts that haven't been replaced depending on the grade.

The bonus with buying a refurb from a company like this is if you purchase a product and it does look bad or refurbished to a low standard, you can always sling it back to them within 30 days.

I am all for refurbishment/used items but when it comes to food cooking appliances it's a no no from me.

I'm in the same boat. Come to think of it, when you eat at someone else's house, that's kinda the same thing..right?

From the pictures, looks identical to the one I got last year which was branded HOMCOM and has been fine. That was 90 reduced to 72 with a code, so 45 quid for a refurbished one sounds ok.

Oos now. Was debating too long and missed it.

Unsure why both codes could be used on this product and not another refurbished air fryer by same seller?? (edited)

It arrived. The air fryer looks brand new, just the box it came in had obviously been opened and taped back up. Plugged it and and got it hot, it still has the new smell you get on new heating cooking appliances (ovens, toasters ect). Pretty sure it's never been used and was just a return. Very happy, thanks again for posting this MrClifford

No probs Tommy, glad it was helpful and glad it came like new! I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered!

Just checked and apparently Royal Mail tried to deliver it yesterday but didn't leave a drop card
