Santorini is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, forever shaping its rugged landscape. The whitewashed, cubiform houses of its 2 principal towns, Fira and Oia, cling to cliffs above an underwater caldera (crater). They overlook the sea, small islands to the west and beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles.

Normally not too hot in September, around 25 degrees, and unlikely to rain, it's a great season for Santorini in my opinion.

Flight aren’t the expensive part of this sort of trip. Hotels are mega pricey

Easyjet boarding staff didn't bother checking that our included cabin bags met their spec outbound, nor on the return. Which was handy as they were much larger than allowed. Stewardesses didn't care either, just keen to get everything stowed in overhead lockers and take off.

Might struggle for 8 nights with the small underseat luggage allowance.
Allow an extra £60+ for a standard size carry on bag. (edited)

Went to Amalfy for 8 days in Feb this year, on Easyjet with underseat carry on bag. More than enough cloths for the holiday. Mainly shorts and tee shirt, with a couple of long sleeves and a pair of slacks for the evening. (edited)
