BA has a generous hand luggage allowance, 2 items included in the basic price.
Prices are often cheaper than the low-cost carriers, once you factor in the add-on cost of a standard carry on bag.

Variable. Last February was quite cold (with some bitter nights). Definitely not sun bathing weather if that's what you're thinking.

Sigh. This is around what I was paying up until this year. Can't believe how much they've put the prices up recently.

It's still possible to get good prices by booking way in advance. Leave it until last minute and you'll pay the premium fares.
I've nabbed several £100 BA returns for European city breaks, by booking more than 6 months ahead.
Flight prices only go in one direction, i.e. UP. Nab them while they're cheap.
Better to lose £100 on a prospective flight booking I can't make, than be forced to pay £500+ for a last minute fare.
