Interesting, but why the G version of the CPU if you have a graphics card?

You can run dual graphics, i.e both graphic sources APU and GPU will show up in device manager, a friend of mine streams with the GPU and records the stream using the APU graphics, just one of the uses for running dual graphics, which can be used with AMD GPU and APU, but also works well with AMD APU and NVIDIA GPU.

In reality, what benefit would I see on this over my current aging setup?

    Motherboard : Asus Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1
    CPU : Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4Ghz -1151 socket
    RAM : 32Gb DDR4 3200
    Gfx Card : RX580 8Gb

I tend to be able to run everything I want to (mainly iracing and GTA5) but at medium/low.
I know my existing build is pretty much at the top of it's potential and needs a full re-build, but would a better gfx card be better than overhauling to this Palicomp?

    Thanks in advance

still, legroom on that, upgrade to a nice AMD6600 at £190 from the net,, resell rx580, and mill it over for another year or so

    Both CPU are 6Core 12Threads with 16MB of L3.

    Performance wise in CPU.
    4500 --> 5500 -> 5600G

The 5600G is a 5500 with a "sparkle" of performance than the 5500 but also has onboard graphics,
As someone mentions u can run the Onboard on its own via a dual set-up.

Palicomp new deal at £500 also comes with 1TB VS 480GB(+30 to correct)
    -Case is a Case.
    Both on A520 boards.
AWD has a better standard 100W PSU.
AWD has 3 years full lab/parts warrenty vs 1 year parts 3 year labour.

palicomp original was £550 with windows, but later gave the option of removal.
Palicomp non windows system will not come loaded.

AWD-IT system do come loaded with windows but not activated unless u buy a key from them, or u can obtain elsewhere.

    system per system, Palicomp.

but depends on u, n what u seek.

Then awd has the upper 6650XT so has an higher GPU,

6600 vs 6650xt videos on the net u can check out, and awd can be done via main stream 5600 as shown on the video then the 4500/5500(5600G)

so a good bath of budget deals.

    1. Can this drive a 4k desktop?
    2. For those just interested in compute/cores, can one do better than this?
    Sarden84's avatar
    Sarden84 Author
-6600 = 5600G via the APU, alone can drive 4k desktops
for £500 Can u do better for extra cores, + fast single core spec system, yes,

self-build opens many chapters, inc intels non F ranges,
from ryzen point of view 5700G or 5700X+Cheap graphics.

where this is -CPU for ++GPU per buck, but not to much -cpu,

    system builders:
5700G via Palicomp 5600G vega deal on here as a booster.

as for intel non F models, that have graphics at good cost from system builders are like looking for needles in haystacks for value, nothing im aware of. they do come up on value sometimes

so if u want more cpu performance; that GPU will have to be given up. (edited)

Looking for something to play DayZ on, home music production and possible streaming. Would this unit be a good starting point?
    Markoffski63's avatar
    Markoffski63
At 1080p yeah it would be great, I use my 5700g for music/video production and it handles large samples and large video files very well, and for streaming you can use dual graphics (see my comment earlier in this post in answer to "ought's" comment).
This is a good all round build for 1080p gaming and project work. (edited)
