Lowest price it's been in a while I believe. Good way to expand m.2 slots.

Be warned. Using this on your motherboard can drop the main GPU speed down to 8x down from 16, depending on the slot. Check your specs. (edited)

Depends on if the slot shares bandwidth.

On mine the middle slot shares bandwidth but my second nvme slot is half speed so using this on a non shared pcie slot is faster.

Have been using one for 2 years so far so good.
4 drive looks interesting wish was more affordable

The sabrent x4 card shown here is a x4 pcie which means its inherently unable to supply 4 nvme drives with full bandwidth
On top of that its 130 pounds on amazon making it pretty much insulting

You want an asus hyper gen 4
Cheapest either direct from asus or on ebay (around 50) and will annihilate this on all fronts

Iv bought one of these around a month ago. Just bear in mind that this just hangs from the pci e slot & has no support to the case. At least if you have a full atx case, however it hasn’t let me down yet and providing your motherboard and pci e has enough lanes. It’s a good buy

I do not think (given the low weight of these card + drive) this ('no support') is even an issue worth mentioning...

Zero chance of 'snapping off' (if that is your fear)... (edited)

Would this work on an older AM1 board? I've got a free PCIe slot, so don't see why not? - I'm assuming you can set to boot from PCIe in bios?

Read your mobo manual. I used something similar (£5) and it worked fine, but my old mobo had limited pcie lanes and installing something in my pcie4 socket made a different pcie socket unavailable.

    One for £12
    or 4 for £131?

Hmm I'll have to think about this one Amazon... (edited)

It’s not 4 of the same item but a 4 slot NVME card. These tend to cost a lot more than individual cards but offer a lot more storage per slot.

Quick question? I want to migrate (clone) my existing drive to a new one can this be done with this adapter?
Plus once done I can still use this as a 2nd drive as I only have one slot Thank you in advance

Yep, definitely on both points (edited)

Looks like a handy bit of kit

Thanks OP. Was looking at the Asus which can add x4 drives but wasn't sure if my old Asus B85m-G motherboard in my unraid server supports buffer bifurcation or not. This price is a steal.

Handy yoke to have especially with the price of m.2s dropping like mad. I'll stick a 3rd m.2 into my mobo

NVMe > PCIe Card with Backplate and installed Netac 2TB.
Second card is 12 x SATA Ports.

What could you possibly need that much storage for?
