Thanks for sharing OP, but I wouldn’t recommend buying right now.

This is the 2021 model, without the Matt display. Samsung just announced their 2023 model, so should see some good deals as they sell off the 2022 range.

You can already get the 2022 65” down to £1000 with a trade-in of a broken TV, and there’s been better deals than that in the run up to Christmas.

Edit - you can get the 2022 65" on Samsung EPP for effectively £825.15 if you're willing to jump through some hoops and re-sell a tablet that comes free with it. (edited)

Completely agree, I'd wait (and I am) for the 2022 model as the matt display layer will make a huge difference to the pretence that this is a picture when switched off. I have a 32" 2021 model and best things are how thin it is, the included flush mount wall bracket and the one connect box, but the build and picture quality (compared with most upper tier TVs) leave a lot to be desired.

Does look good with the white frame though!

Paid £674 for this after cashback last year. Its a great bedroom TV with the slim wall mount, one connect box and the white bezel. Picture quality is not as good as our OLED downstairs but that wouldnt look great in our bedroom.49233360-CYRHJ.jpg

That looks like the Sonos Beam you have there. I have one too, and am going to get a Frame TV soon myself.

You can’t get the Sonos to work wirelessly with this TV can you. Has to be connected to the Connect box, right?

Wanted to buy this so went to Currys to have a look, just looked really cheap, I was disappointed. I understand it's a display model so will never look it's best, but I expected more. Great price this if you want one, but this technology isn't quite there for me yet.

Great tv, had it fit nearly 2 years. Just got another for the kitchen couple months ago. They do look on the wall with slim mount. You can get different frame bezel to make it look more like a frame

So this is the 2021 model. I have the 43" in the kitchen and was thinking of upgrading to the 2022 as its almost half the depth and moving this one to another room. Would say they aren't the best TV's for the money but the one connect box really helps get a nice neat install.

As MasterAk said I also have an OLED LG G1 65" and picture is no where near on this, but wouldn't expect it to be. (edited)

I thought the depth difference is between the 2020 model to 2021. I'm certain the 2021 is the same depth as 2022 but has the matt finish to minimise reflection. (edited)

Is the sound bar worth it?
    stevoRenno's avatar
    stevoRenno
Which soundbar? If talking about the S801B that's related to the OP then £199 for a soundbar that's around £500+ at min is a deal, is it any good... not seen any formal reviews but customer feedback on shopping sites suggest its best avoided.

Personally I'd be looking at a Sonos Beam gen 2, but as soon as you put a soundbar on the wall you've destroyed some of the illusion the tv is a picture.

If you're gonna buy a soundbar, and frame tv sound is terrible, then either find a place to mount it away from the tv to avoid spoiling the its a picture frame illussion or just don't get a frame tv, get a neo qled for similar money that'll have better picture quality just not the one connect box.

So bezels are back in fashion now?
    stevoRenno's avatar
    stevoRenno
That's the odd thing, bezels got so small on top end tvs now that in order to look like a picture the bezels (actually the clip on frame) actually make it look thicker than most.

Personally I like the white frame look, but it really does depend on you decor and what picture you're displaying as to which frame colour works best

Art looks better with a faux mount. I like the concept of this TV, but won’t be buying one.
    stevoRenno's avatar
    stevoRenno
Yep, and you can configure the mount when select which art you want displayed.

This tv does make a lot of sense in the right room/setting, and certainly the matt display 2022 model will be even more convincing.
