Damn you Tim.
The reason we don't get better TVs is because UK consumers gobble up and cheap tat TVs from the supermarket based on cost rather than performance. It's why TCL only release their good sets in the states and we got left with the drivel in the UK..... Because US consumers were more interested with performance for sport, but the the UK supermarkets want it to look £50 cheaper, because that's all Tim in Tesco's is bothered about.
It's the usual race to the bottom and comes down to how the likes of Argos / Tesco want to offer 'value' but actually end up selling products with cut corners that just don't perform. Important thing is the read reviews and understand the short comings of a particular TV before shelling out on a lemon... Expecting a TV to be responsive and stable is totally acceptable and if it's not people should take them back.
That’s because 13 years ago Sharp was Sharp, it’s not anymore…
Were good schools in haveefordwest!
Toshiba remote for you
Just to add - the play button takes you straight to all the apps list but Netflix and prime has its own
Same here. Not this model, but a 1080p sharp. Slow, laggy, crashes randomly. The screen is fine, but the OS is awful.
That's what I was thinking.
Having said that, I do get the feeling this is the sort of purchase you make and then 6 weeks later find yourself thinking, 'I wish I'd been a bit more patient, spent £100 more and got something that actually works properly in the way I'd expect".
Still, it's a lot of screen for the money.
It was probably A or A+ on old system. You do know there is a new ratings scale right?
sound is much better than LG at the money. image is good on SD but you will notice the stretch. HD and UHD is very good indeed.
no lag and picture is sharp. High speed does show a little but at this price it smashed my previous LG that lasted 18 months.
Yes it does
