It is a decent lens, but the Zeiss badge is not reflected in the image quality superiority (it barely does nowadays). It is one of the oldest E-mount standard zoom. The Sony branded lenses are very good nowadays if not sometimes better.
I would say it largely depends on the optical specs you need, i.e., zoom range, aperture, etc.
