    They give you a ball park figure of weight which is great. If you’re over at the airport by a kilo and they try to charge you simply ask to see a recent calibration certificate, they’ll soon back down

    this isnt the 1990s and a speed gun used by the cops - in 2024 airlines will say pay or dont get on the plane !

    I bought this exact one, having never used another before. Not sure if it is common with these types of devices, but it seemed to underread by a good kilo or 2.
    Could have sworn it read significantly under the weight limit, but yet both my suitcases were 0.5kg over the 23kg at the check-in desk! Luckily I didn't get stung for being overweight but I would take the readings as a grain of salt. (edited)
