Seems to be the new style bottling and the cheapest I have seen it at. This is a 6 year old MGP High Rye 95/5 Mashbill Rye made in the Pennsylvania Style. Sazerac uses a lower Rye Mashbill. £44.95 at Master of Malt and HTFW.

For those who are not part of the Teetotal Alliance, some information about the three different classes of Rye Whiskies:
    vinepair.com/art…ed/

1.) Pennsylvania Style / Monongahela Style

Typically around 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley. MGP is the biggest producer of this style and used in Templeton Rye and Bulleit Rye. No Corn is used so the least sweetest form of Rye whiskey.

    2.)Maryland Style

Upto 70% Rye,with the rest being Corn and Malted Barley.

    3.)Kentucky Style

Between 51% to 55% Rye and the rest being Corn and Malted Barley. The sweetest form of Rye whiskey.

Sazerac and Jack Daniels Rye are examples of the latter two styles.Sazerac is closer to the latter and Jack Daniels Rye closer to the latter.

I bought the Templeton Rye Rum Cask when on it was offer(5 years old with additional finishing in Rum barrels) and enjoyed that. 10 year old MGP Rye would be nice to try.

Templeton was hit with three class-action lawsuits over their misleading labels. They weren’t naming the whiskey’s state of origin, instead implying it was their own family recipe revived. Also, they were adding a compound of flavorings, which means they could not call it “straight” rye. Irked customers could apply for anything from a $1 to $36 refund, depending on whether they purchased their Templeton at a store or in a bar, and would get more if they still had their receipt, less if they didn’t. Templeton was obliged to pay out up to $2.5 million max.

That was from bottles over a decade ago around 2007~2010. Those bottles did not state "Straight Rye". You can see that in the picture in your link. This one:

I have a bottle of the Rum Cask 5 year old and it clearly states Straight Rye at the back. This is what the previous design of the 6 year old had:

It does not affect the current bottlings which state "Straight Rye" which means no additions can be made under US law as explained in this article:
    thegospelwhiskey.com/blo…key

Straight Rye Whiskey is a subcategory under the above broad definition, requiring rye whiskey to also be aged in new, charred oak for at least two years. It also can’t include any additives in terms of flavour or caramel colouring. After maturation, you’re only legally allowed to: blend a barrel of straight rye whiskey with other barrels of straight rye whiskey; particulate and/or chill-filter; and bring it down to proof using water. These post-maturation steps are optional.

Many modern Scotch whiskies have colorant added. (edited)
