Sony PSP Console - PSP1003KCW @ The Range £79.99

"PSP-1000" is the Sony product code for the first series of the PlayStation Portable handheld console; now referred to "in the community" as a PSP "Phat", "Phat & Heavy", or just plain "Fat". Sony probably just use the term "the original PSP". "PSP-1003" is the reference for the model for sale in the UK. * PSP1000 - Japan * PSP1001 - USA (North America) * PSP1002 - Australasia * PSP1003 - United Kingdom * PSP1004 - Europe, Middle East, & Africa * PSP1005 - Korea * PSP1006 - Hong Kong & Singapore * PSP1007 - Taiwan * PSP1008 - Russia * PSP1009 - China The same convention was used for the "PSP-2000" series (the "Slim & Lite" model), and the later "PSP-3000" series (the "Slim & Brite" model; the same features as the "PSP-2000" series but with a built-in microphone & a brighter screen). The new (and concurrently available) "PSP Go" has the model reference "PSP-N1000", but continues the convention of the earlier models... * PSP-N1000 - Japan * PSP-N1001 - North America * PSP-N1002... and so on At £79.99 I would suggest this is at least £29.99 over-priced... but if you want a boxed example of the first series & it is in mint condition then this may well be a good price for you to consider. BFN, fp. [EDIT]: PS[P :)]. "PSP-1003KCW" indicates this is an Original model UK Ceramic White PSP Value Pack containing: * Sony PSP Console with pouch * 32MB Memory Stick Duo * Battery Pack * Headphones with Remote Control * A/C Adaptor (UK 3-pin) * Wrist Strap * UMD Sampler includes music, movie & game demos

lynn44, you don't look too bad from a distance! :p

If you have a quick google around you'll be able to find one for nothing-probably an up to date one with IQ routes and advance lane guidance:thumbsup:. I think it is a disgrace that you have to pay for a new one just because you card went funny.

Sounds like a good deal, my SD card corrupted on my One, I've managed to get it back up and running, but it needs a map, which is going to cost me £39.

£95 in Asda today

did not think you could fully upgrade to 2.2 as 2.2 has to have at least 1gb local storage capability and 1.1 spec only has 256k so whould be hardware change not just new firmware.Still worth having though plays most discs ok you just lose some of extra features

Got one of these at Makro, updated the firmware & it seems to play everything thrown at it so far. Main critisism is how painfully slow it is to get going, if you can live with this, no problem. BTW has anybody found a region hack yet?

cant see this for sale at all...or was it instore?

Please stop your squabbling. The OP has gone out of their way to say that this model can be upgraded albeit perhaps in a slightly more technical way than some people would prefer, and so once upgraded you will have a BD player as compatible as probably any other for a bargain price. Voted hot.

Nah you need a £10 remote thats all but works a treat

Probably "Mamma Mia", to put you out of your misery. £110 for a Sony Bluray player is an impressively good price. No range stores anywhere near me though unfortunately.

The reduction was applied in mid-october, I picked up the last one in a store i work in for a friend who's Bush Blu-Ray player died. Deffo the 350.

I hacked mine for multiregion DVD playback by creating the following macro on my Pronto NG: 0000 0068 0000 0015 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 01ae 1 sec gap 0000 0068 0000 0015 0060 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 01f6 1 sec gap 0000 0068 0000 0015 0060 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 01f6 1 sec gap 0000 0068 0000 0015 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 01c6 1 sec gap 0000 0068 0000 0015 0060 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 020e If you've done it right, the 24fps LED will start flashing. Then reboot the machine and voila. FWIW you can upgrade the firmware after doing the hack, and it will still be multiregion (for DVDs) afterwards.

do you know how to hack ... could do with the code please

Would be interested in more info on this, what disks have complex menus that won't play so that can add them to my rental queue and try out with the latest firmware?

Sorry but the Sharp is far from being a decent alternative. Loading times are shockingly bad (2mins+ on average for a Bluray) and lack of memory on board means that it will simply refuse to play a lot of discs with complex menu's.

Listen, your true colours clearly are coming out, I simply put that it was not a very informative post and have seen posts removed and/or amended for not including the postage cost...I simply mention and edit the original post to reflect this. I am confident that I have posted far more CONSTRUCTIVE information on here than you have, and received ample reputation for doing so....I don't resort to trolling posts like clearly you do, the fact you have no concerns for the swear filter or riling others clearly reflects what sort of character you are.

On this site, you are asked to tell the OP why you voted cold, and thats my reason.

I would buy a Sandisk 8gb Sansa Fuze + 8gb or even 16gb Micro sd card myself a lot cheaper as just as good quality. As for the shuffle it doesn't stand a chance against the Sansa Clip cheaper and has a FM radio and a Screen. If you have not heard of them check them out. Plus dont need stupid itunes to transfer files.

Is this your cat that eats dog food? Careful, I used to work at the Small Animal Trust in Newmarket, and in trials they fed dog food to cats. It transpires that they need something called taurine (included in cat food and not in dog food) otherwise there is a possibility they can go blind.

I have also been impressed with B&Q own make.

I've just done all my fences and was particularly impressed with price/performance of: B&Q's own brand 9 Litres £7.98 - Golden Chestnut - warm/rich/med-light colour Remember with all these fence treatments that the colour of the liquid and the colour it looks when first applied changes significantly as it dries.
