All, we had a previous post here about a V8 Animal on Argos. That got expired, but I just chat with Dyson on the chat and they covered the price. So I just bought a V8 Animal with them for 199

I ordered and selected today - they sent it yesterday! Luckily I intercepted before, and changed. Just be aware - they’re sending out VERY quick, sometimes a day before you even selected.

Just ordered it now, free delivery and good choice of delivery slots direct from Dyson. Also Quidco. The wife couldn't wait till Friday! (nerd)

Yes, the second battery was sent FOC too, 1.5 years after the warranty had expired. They did give me guidance though around batteries as per my comment above and said that they would not be replacing it FOC again hence why I sold it and got a V11.

ok I did some research and the difference are mainly accessories: Pro: Come with Quick-release extension hose and Quick release wide nozzle, and a black colour Extra: Doesn’t have above but come with a stubborn dirt brush So Dyson advisor was wrong, Pro comes with more accessories

Some information for those looking to buy a V10 would be the following, based on my experience: Check out how highly rated they are on the 'Vacuum Wars' channel on YT, but also be aware of the following: - generally speaking they don't feel particularly sturdy, so if you have a busy, young-family household and you need something that will take some abuse for a few years, I'm not sure how well a V10 would hold up. I tend to look after things and we have no kids so I expect a decent lifespan from ours - let the battery pack to cool down for 15 minutes after using it on full power for more than a couple of minutes, or after long usage where the battery has been completely drained before putting it back on charge. You will lengthen the life of the battery pack significantly - familiarise yourself with the trigger replacement/fix video on YouTube just in case - familiarise yourself with the bin release mechanism fail video on YouTube just in case Overall they are fantastic things in our experience, our carpets have been brought back to life.

The only difference is the pro comes with 3 extra tools - mattress tool, up-top adaptor and extension hose

What’s the difference between absolute and absolute pro

Get what you pay for! This is decent deal if you've seen the price as before. Still going hold out for (hopefully) a black Friday deal. Even tho I know last year wasn't none !

I'd spend all day clicking cold on this if I could, one vote isn't enough. Dyson are just about the biggest rip-off known to man, I don't know how they get away with it. £35 of materials selling for £500... No wonder Mr Dyson didn't want to start paying the tax man...

Is that a good thing I guess you will empty less often

This is a great deal, you are getting the absolute outsize for £100 less than the normal size.

You can buy 8 revlon hot air brushes for the price of this. Also, probably 30 revlon dupe brushes. Cold.

Thanks OP, heat

Yep silly price, they'll keep on charging these prices if people are daft enough to buy these unfortunately. (shock) (shock) :| :| :| (shock) (shock)

This not the complete model with RRP£449, this comes with only 6 attachments.

Because they will go bankrupt due to the cost of Dyson :D

Cheapest I could find for a genuine and non refurbished item. Well, I bought one so good luck .

First off, I need some hair, which, judging by the prices in Turkey for a bit of turf sticking on, isn't far off the asking price for this hairdryer. I've spent less on cars.

Great hair dryer regardless of what the peasants say

Still £200 too much

The power of a (suspect) 'premium' brand to separate the gullible from lots of dosh!

Is this a good deal? Or should I wait for black friday

Most rave about shark till things start going wrong. I have 2 uprights and 1 cordless model from them and will never buy another product from them again after being stung by their useless 5 year warranty and fobbed off with their favourite excuse of this part is wear and tear we won't replace it under warranty but give us £69.99 and we will happily send the part out. I've gone back to Dyson with a V11 Outsize & V15 Detect.

Thanks OP, I just ordered one for my wife, there a 30 day returns policy if it isn't wat she hopes for

@gerrard30 im not sure if they have the same motor but either way i went from v10 to v11 and theres quite a difference in max suction but to be honest you'll never use the max on v11 its too powerful and v10 is plenty, i used it as my main hoover for 2 years before i donated it to my mom. Leave it on medium and you'll get 20 mins of decent suction, enough to wizz round the whole house

Thats why it says up to, dont know when you would ever use this on max power for 7 minutes, ive had mine about 6 months now and never use max, its too powerful sticks to my floor, medium is similar suction to other brands max power and lasts half an hour

Just noticed today that they have them in Costco if that helps.

Thank you for the tip - the meaco fans look good on Amazon. I always seem hot so need cooling all year round.

This is brilliant. Thanks, OP. Ordered.

Indeed, but keeping up with the Jones is a factor for many, sadly. People who spend this kind of money are free to do so, but in my opinion they’re mugs for doing so. I’d be ashamed to own one!

Voted HOT! Just ordered one for my hamster, he gets quite hot running on his wheel.

She a keeper My wife didn't think twice about spending £650 on a vacuum...

I think that is the major problem. Battery driven things, like some tools and vacuum cleaners, become useless very quickly as the battery technology is still very poor and it costs a lot of money to replace them after just a few years. So a perfectly good power drill, for example, will end up in landfill far quicker than a corded one. I have gone back to buying corded power tools now, which I expect will last way beyond any current battery driven version. Waiting for the day battery technology improves to the point where they last as long as the device itself.

I have a v8 which I hate. So expensive (you could have bought three Henry's for the same price)! And the battery died in two years. They charge 65 quid for a new one!!! Luckily it was one week before the warranty expired so they sent a new one. Never again. Luckily I kept my ancient Henry.

Cheaper to employ someone local with a dustpan and brush. We have a country to rebuild. Make sure that the money stays local. I'm sure that an economist will tell me otherwise and advise me to listen to patriots who scarper when they see a better opportunity.

? The world must seem so confusing to you. They're happy with their purchase. I don't know why this thought makes you so uncomfortable...
