I am using this item connected between my Moto G50 and an Asus RT AC87U router because I'm not paying Virgin Media £65 pm out of contract broadband charge. EE mobile gives me 600 GB per month at about
    130 Mbs

The router has 2 USB ports that can be used with USB tethering but I could not get it working by this method. After 2 days of messing about to get it working, I gave up with USB tethering

I bought this item from Amazon and within a few minutes I could share connection with the whole house. Ethernet all the way for me from now on. Nice bit of kit.

Only downside is it that does not not supply power to the phone so I am on the lookout for something that has PD. Such devices cost about £20 - 30 on Amazon (edited)

oh never thought of this use case. thanks for sharing your hack. I think there should be an adapter that can help with power and the Internet at the same time. I don't know of any atm but maybe by searching u can find one.
