You can buy decent headphones DAC for £50. Fx-audio x6 used to be $30 due to popularity its about $50-60 now.

windhoek

I nearly bought one of these to use between my Synology NAS and AVR as my NAS can output audio via USB when music is played through its onboard audio suite, Audio Station, but apparently it won't work without drivers and there's no way of installing rivers on my NAS so I never bought one. At this price though, it looks like a very good deal indeed.

I have one of these and the drivers on it need to be reinstalled all the time.

Mine got delivered on the 8th and I ordered them on the day I posted the deal. Looks like they're shipping exceptionally slow from the Netherlands, and delivered by DHL. I whinged at their support team and gave me the £5 delivery fee back as a refund.

Mechanical Vs membrane keyboards. It's just the way it is. Membrane keyboards are basically a printed circuit on something like mylar and a rubber membrane with carbon contacts which gets squished down over the circuit when you press your keyboard key. Mechanical have a switch for each key, gold plated contacts, spring and damping all measured and controlled to make typing a non-chore, then there's the clickity-clack aspect of how much do you want to feel the switch when it's pressed. Bruce Lee said it best. "Don't think, feel!" That's what you're paying for, and the go faster lights.

Just in case anyone purchased one of these & finding it switches itself off after 10 minutes, there is a software update which will fix and only turn off speaker after 6 hours - follow the link below https://uk.creative.com/p/speakers/creative-stage-air FIRMWARE UPDATE AVAILABLE: AUTO-OFF (BATTERY-SAVING FEATURE) The Stage Air soundbar comes preinstalled with a battery-saving feature that automatically switches the soundbar off after 10 minutes of inactivity. We have updated the battery-saving feature to switch off only after 6 hours of inactivity. To proceed with the firmware update, you may do so by following these instructions. Download the firmware update. (Scroll to Firmware section, download the update for your platform.)Copy the file into an empty USB drive.Unzip downloaded file on your USB drive.Ensure the soundbar is powered on and is in AUX mode (Green LED).Insert the USB drive with unzipped file into the soundbar's USB-A port.During the update, the soundbar LED may be switched off. This is normal. Please wait for 1 minute. After 1 minute, remove the USB drive and press the Power button to power on the soundbar.Delete all files on USB drive after use.Simply follow the steps and instructions given for the update. If you need any assistance, do contact us at creative.com/priorityhelp. In order to preserve the Stage Air's product quality, this battery-saving feature is not deactivated fully. This helps to preserve the battery life of your Stage Air in the long run, by preventing it from over-draining. hope this helps - certainly Ive found it more useful.

Never said anything about the colour?

Darkmemento

Yeah, I did a little digging after your post and can't justify them given the bad sound reviews. Such a pity as that is a cracking price and I really do like them. So brown is no longer a cool colour with the kids. Duly noted (skeptical)

audievo

(lol) nothing wrong with brown, I remember my grandad had a very stylish brown Morris marina (lol) But still these headphones getpoor reviews.

Darkmemento

What is wrong with the brown? I think they are by far the most stylish headphones I have comes across recently. I am very tempted. The thing that puts me most off buying Sony/Bose is the awful generic look. Now the sound quality will win out in the end so judging by the first comment in this thread I won't be buying these but I wish more companies would make an effort to do something different with the design.

OGNinjaDon

At this price these are an absolute bargain. Would rather have the Sony MDR-1AM2 for £50 more but that's just me.

I did so too, but they snapped and I haven't been able to find another pair close to that price.

igotcoins

I have no idea what you're talking about. Nowhere did I mention about wearing them outdoors. I get you want to defend your deal. But it's a crap deal. If you think 50 quid is a good deal for something someone paid 30 for 2+ years ago, then go ahead.

xxxAD1xxx

If it’s mainly for PS4 use, I’d go for Golds, as I do own Platinums and they sound really good, and Golds are apparently very similar in sound quality. Go for Soundblasters if you’re after a Bluetooth headset i.e. PC, smartphone, TV etc, however not for outdoors as other members have mentioned (and I do agree @igotcoins ) they are a bit ugly for outdoors, but I do believe you wouldn’t go out with your turtlebeech’s on too :D

Berwhale

I paid £30 for these in August 2016, I think they're probably still worth £50. You have to plug them in via USB to use the built in virtual 7.1 surround. You can also get virtual Surround on Windows 10 by purchasing Dolby Atmos for Headphones - this provides much better positional audio than the built-in surround. Dolby Atmos works really well, but I've had issues using it in PUBG over a Bluetooth connection (so I always use them wired).

KMAC_TFF

Recently got this myself second hand and paid £170. Amazing product if you have the money. Bit niche but it really is an all in one and saves loads of cabling for a nice clean build.

Greyze

Except that makes it a good deal.. You mean because it's too much to pay for a sound card regardless of this price?

Rojo66

My brother has one of these with the speaker package deal they had a year or so back. But this soundcard is geared more towards the audiophile market. Than your average gamer. Which is why it's getting all the down votes I guess.

dannyolamide

I've had these for several months, these are really really good for the money. One complaint is that the ear buds are hard to replace as the size is different from most. Mine come off quite easily. They really stay well in my ears and are super durable.

waysan

Thank you - ordered.

wasyl00

They come with three size earbuds and what I started to use the additional rubber “arm” which makes them stay in ear even when running. I hate apple standard earphone as they do not stay in my ears at all.

5% cashback on Quidco. I think these are commuter headphones i.e for people sitting down. I like the fact they offer good noise isolation e.g. for plane rides and are bass heavy (that's a good thing in my book). Not sure I could forgive them being uncomfortable though....nevertheless, a great deal.

louiselouise

I was wondering if anyone else had the same - but I haven't seen any mention of this in reviews, etc.

garybb

Clearly faulty.

hawksface

I'm glad the T50 have a power button in that case, and I haven't noticed any issues with the volume knob(s). Not sure why they seem to have stopped selling them though, a shame really, even if their price did seem a little steep just for added bluetooth vs the T40 (fortunately for me they were a gift).

louiselouise

I have these and can't fault the sound quality but the power knob (ooer) - which you turn clockwise to switch on - has been ropey (and getting worse) for about a year. You should hear it "click" and light up, it doesn't seem to any more and it takes ages to get it to "click". Blimmin' annoying, I have to turn it on and off by inserting the power cord all the time - probably not good long-term.

bizzargainhunter

So, any music then : )
