I've used a set like this for years on my own hair with good results but I always have to get the wahl clippers with a taper lever built in, it's so much easier to blend with it

My friend highly recommends Wahl

I used these type of clippers for years but I use a Remington RX7 now. Closer shave and it traps the hair. Obviously more money, but a good investment.
