    One of the problems with this site is deal posters polularity gets deals more heat than they deserve.
    (not aimed at Rockstar individually, the same happens with many of the bigger deal posters here).

    This is a 480GB low endurance QLC NAND drive.
    You can get better TLC NAND drives for less -

    There are cheaper QLC offerings -
    amazon.co.uk/ADA…-30

    But I'd stil go with the TLC drive.
    Nothing about this deal is hot.

    As well as having lower endurance, QLC cost less to manufacture than TLC, there is no real exuse for them to cost more. (edited)

    so are Kioxia drives a good option? I just want to buy a couple, one for backing music up onto and another for putting in an old laptop or maybe PS3. Thanks in advance.

    Fun fact, all Western Digital SSD's are actually manufactured by Kioxia (well, manufactured at the Kioxia plant for WD/SanDisk).

    Generally they are very reliable in my experience (though I mostly use their NVMe drives). (edited)

    Green are at the bottom (consumer) end of the range. Don't last long.
