I've got this and Many other. Worx products and i think its a superb brand or I wouldn't have bout as much from them as I have, I bought this set for my son for his new house last summer and he thinks it great too, I've a pretty big lawn that I've a ride on for but usin two sets of 40v batteries i can cut it all although it takes a lot of walkin but this mower will get it done, I'd have no hesitations in recommending the Worx brand the only downside is for my now is from Covid they stopped delivering to Northern Ireland

Could you share what meter square your lawn is please? It takes me about an hour to cut my front and back lawn and I’m wondering if this mower could hack it. I already have two 2ah worx batteries from a reciprocating saw I bought.

Electronically controlled motor… is that going to be like Self propelled?

nah nothing so fancy - just reacts to the load on the blade - speeds up ( more torque) when needed for longer bits, then backs off when it doesn't need the oomph. Helps with battery life.

Sent back THREE of the lawnmowers as faulty under warranty (yes, you read that right - thank God for Amazon). Worx is a cheaply made 3D printed plastic product with very poor quality. I wouldn't invest in their ecosystem. Go for Makita/ Bosch or some of the better known brands out there. (edited)

3D printed, unlike the brands named above, which are carved from lumps of natural plastic.

Another happy owner here. The lack of faffing with cables is great. I also strongly doubt these would be 3D printed instead of just injection moulded not that it makes any difference either way.

I've been trying to find a good mower/ strimmer combo. This would suit but like many unfortunately no NI shipping. Hopefully Screwfix match this offer

Having been unsuccessful in starting my old lawnmower that's not been used in 5 years (gardener used to cut our lawn with his own) this is well timed. (edited)

Got this for around £200 a couple of years back. Decent mower doesn't cut as short as my old Flymo but short enough. Battery just about lasts my front and back lawn when short. Weak point is the plastic clip that holds the metal switch bar in place degraded and snapped under normal use. Have to use a gripper clip now to keep it in place but does the job (edited)

Cracking bit of kit - had for 2 years now thanks to a hotdeals link back then.  Was frustrated that i could only just get the back garden done on the batteries suppllied (Medium size garden) but then a few months later I got another bargain on a drill + impact driver combo with 2 batteries -(£75 I think) and having the additional 2 batteries really made the difference.  I can run the mower, missus the strimmer and a spare battery for whoever needs it.

Have one for 3 years absolutely no problems with it but if you have a larger lawn may need bigger batteries or charge again. I also have the 40v version for allotment I dont notice any difference in performance. I have loads of Worx tools and there fine for consumers, I must have at least 20+ tools. Argos are same price as well (edited)

Anyone know how this compares to the similar priced Einhell model(s). I'm in the market for a new mower and these seem to fit the bill. Don't really need the strimmer - hardly ever use the Makita one I have (was probably a deal on here about 8 years back lol!)

Cutting width 25 Centimetres? Surely that can't be right?

Very good deal, as rest here I have this combo over 3 years and still working perfect, trimmer little noise as bearing is the way out, but have new replacement in the box ready..
I have pretty much all 20V tools Worx offered and invested in to 4Ah and 6Ah batteries, very happy with brand and great support too..

Question for those that own this, and I suppose more in general, if you charge these batteries how long would they hold a charge?

I tend to find lawn mowing is more ad-hoc than planned for us - if the batteries drained fairly quickly that would sort of kill the convenience factor for me. I hope, and suspect that this is not the case!
  17. m7svk's avatar
In summer the batteries holds charge after 2 - 4 weeks around 95%, but in winter it is less, and of course in colder weather when they are in use they last less as in summer...
  18. oldskooladdict's avatar
Cheers, that sounds pretty decent. Thanks for the info.

Some stuff like this - like electric screw drivers - my Dad leaves permanently charging - not sure if that's a good idea or the sort of thing that knackers the battery - I shall search before using these!

Was just going to pull the trigger on this deal but was wondering what the good folks here opinion is on the 3 year 'protection' Amazon offer for an additional £22.29?

‘Temporarily Unavailable’ at Amazon now. Looks like I deliberated too long. Bought from Argos as I’m assuming it’s the same package and Amazon were price matching. Had to jump through various verification hoops to make a purchase using my Nectar points and PayPal! No wonder so many people simply buy from Amazon given ease of purchasing. I’ll stop moaning now
