Great price for the core version of the Elite series 2 xbox controller. Core controllers come without the accessories such as extra thumbsticks and rear paddles, but these can be bought as kits separately if required. Best price I've seen these, and a decent colour this time.

I was about to pull the trigger on one of these, then I realised that they no longer take AA batteries but an internal one. What an awful decision.

I have a series 2 and the battery has just gone after years of use. I’ve purchased a replacement for £18 and it’s a 10 minute job to open the controller up and replace it, really easy to access

I'm still holding out for a first party controller with hall effect sticks. I don't see the point in spending about triple figures on a controller that's just going to get stick drift within 3 months of use.

I agree, I will never buy a controller again without hall effect sticks. there is enough of them out there now:

    - GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro Controller (no back buttons... )
    - GameSir G7 SE Wired Controller
    - GameSir T4 Kaleid
    - 8BitDo Ultimate Controller with Charging Dock (needs to be the one with bluetooth for hall effect sticks)

Total farce that these companies are still selling us these £££ controllers with built-in obsolescence!

Still way cheaper, and if you have an old Elite, you'll already have all the bits. Amazon sell a full bits kit for anywhere between £25-£35, making this £40 ish cheaper.

Beware, the left bumper on these breaks very easily.

my elite controller 2 hasnt been used much but having issues withe the shoulder buttons. Took it apart and there are these strips of plastic over the switches. What a dreadful design. (edited)

I would say if you get this controller do not cheap out on the insurance you'll regret it.

Luck of the draw I guess. I bought 2 Elites 2 years ago and both are fine still. Mine is very worn now, but the hours I’ve used it I’m not surprised, still works though. 🤷

Had mine just under 2 years and my right bumper no longer works. Not happy. Did not realise when I bought it you could buy a £15 warranty from Microsoft that lets you replace for new on first broken controller then free repairs after that. So I am
Looking for a new black one but there just to expensive.
