Stick drift is a major issue with Xbox controllers.
If you want it for the PC a cheaper, on-par alternative is the Stadia controller. You can pick one up on eBay for half the price, enable Bluetooth, install stadia-vigem-x64 and voila you got an Xbox controller.
It was a major issue. It's not as bad now. Not with the newer versions.
Having said that, I wouldn't recommend a white pad. It's harder to tell how old it is. To be on the safe side, I would get the purple controller or one of the camo designs. They're the newer ones.- If they are still offering it I would consider the 3 year warranty. It was £8 when I bought a controller (£29.99 on offer) a year or so ago for my son. In effect, he's go a working controller for 3 years for less than full price - excluding accidental damage. Started to develop "stick drift" after a bout a year. Took it in and they replaced it on the spot.

Is it worth buying the £9 3 year instant replacement protection plan?Yes. I took mine after a year with stick drift issue. No questions asked. They replaced it with brand new in 5 mins- The link they provide to redeem a code for apple tv doesn't work.
