If use the speakers a lot then be prepared to be dissapointed.
    realdeals's avatar
The speakers out of the box sound bad but once you install the latest update, goto Dolby Atmos and change the default setting from dynamic to music and tweak the EQ. They will then sound better than the Nothing phone 1 and not too far off the Pixel 7a.

Has this got a good camera?
    Smm0's avatar
    I heard not really.

    This one or honor 90 5g 512gb £399?
    Rabbittus's avatar
Honor missing too many features for me; no 3.5mm, no SD slot, no water resistance, doesn't even have stereo speakers.
  4. morton1's avatar
Is this better than Poco X3 nfc
    Smm0's avatar
Yeah a lot better. Im running a Poco X3... However can't see myself paying over £300 when my Poco X3 was only £100.
  5. superhans0113's avatar
do we know if these are shipped with global ROM now ?.
    DopeyDunker's avatar
    Yes
  6. Turbowayne's avatar
Can you also use your Mi points off this price ?
    DopeyDunker's avatar
Yes (as long as you have more than 1,000), but you won't be able to buy another voucher and use CARER23. You can either use CARER23 or buy your own voucher but not both. Often you can get more off buying your own voucher and using your points - obviously depending on how many points you have. (edited)

    This or the pixel 7a?
    realdeals's avatar
I have both and on day to day metrics I have to favour F5. The Pixels camera when it comes to day and lowlight in the main is slightly better but by tapping the screen and using the exposure slider you can reduce the differences, video and ultrawide is a toss up as it stands NOW. The 7a's ultrawide and video is a bit meh!

    As a device

    Battery
    Screen
    Refresh rate
    Battery size
    Ram
    Storage
    Charging speed
    Build
    Battery life
    Performance
    Etc
Are all in favour of the F5, the 7a is just built too cheaply. The gap between the two in hardware and performance is too big for me to even worry about the small gap between the cameras I only use occasionally. If you put the 7 in the picture, it's a different argument. (edited)

Amazing phone for the price, just don't like the iPhone looking camera design
  9. Wrighty1's avatar
Thanks . My F3 needed replacing, Ordered and Heat added.
    Potterified's avatar
I think the F3 is like the P30 Pro. Others may come and pretend to be its successor but they can't match what it offered at that price point... Such an amazing phone it was. Let us know your thoughts when you receive this and spend a few days with it, please.

This or a honor magic 4 pro?
    yemstar's avatar
    Magic 4 Pro.
  11. RY4N75's avatar
I did a comparison with my OnePlus 10T. I'm sure the Poco F5 camera seems better
    m.gsmarena.com/pic…258 (edited)
    Neostar's avatar
Too close to the release of OnePlus 12, you might as well wait for that as your 10T is decent enough for another year or have a look at the Nothing Phone 2
  12. innocent's avatar
It's truly amazing how you come out with such fantastic deals. I have just posted a deal and yours pops up with much greater ram, decent processor etc and excellent price point. Much heat 🔥 (edited)

Price is coming down nicely, just nowhere NEAR the Ali Express global launch pricing deals.

Paid £225 for this for my mum, she's been well impressed, as was I.
    Smm0's avatar
Oh man why didnt I buy that?

I cant seem to find the official seller on Ali Express.. im assuming its still under £300?
  14. Kenneth131's avatar
Great phone and good price in the UK with full warranty 👌
  15. ollefrolle's avatar
Thanks, been waiting for a good deal on this. Loved my F3, but it was a little weak in games and the camera wasn't great.
Currently have the Pixel 6, it's good enough but I hate how thick and heavy it is.
The cheap Aliexpress deals were interesting but they don't ship to the highlands and I didn't wanna wait a month and have no warranty anyway.
So I got the F5 in white.
    tho_nee's avatar
Have you tried trade in? Pixel 6 is offered 200£.. I am also done with my pixel.. Battery and finger print

having big issues with the Mi App,

it only allows me to use Mi Points not any additional code, including this 5% one,

yes it might allow you to do it in the first part of the payment where you confirm your address and choose debit card,

but when you try to move to adding your card details it won't let you move to that, it says error, and the only way forward is to remove the 5% code,

now i am locked into a 2 hour cool down, before it releases my points,

i have 4444 points this is why it is £314.56

after speaking with chat they say you can't add a code to an already discounted price, which the F5 is today,

just the already added £20 and Mi Points,

and the fact it won't allow me to move through to adding card details seems like that might be the case,

unless i am missing something ?,

has anyone got the £341 deal and used Mi Points on top and completed the transaction ?,

i did try to complete the order on PC if that makes any difference,

i notice now on the app there is a cancel option on the payment pending page picture below,

What's the camera like on this phone? Currently have a Honor 20 Pro and the camera has served me well over the years so reluctant to move away especially as I was somewhat disappointed with the 108mp lens on the Xiaomi Mi 10T.
  24. Djinnz's avatar
I am an idiot, ordered this thinking it was a great deal for a F5 pro........ oh well hopefully my cancellation email is seen in time. Thanks for sharing though
  25. Topper1900's avatar
The big downside to these devices is the poor OS updates of 2 years for major OS updates and 3 years for security updates, when all the other big players are now giving at least 3 years/4 years.
    realdeals's avatar
Nord / Nord CE: The first OnePlus Nord and newer Nord / Nord CE devices will receive 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates.

Nord N series: Starting from N10 and N100, all N series devices will receive 1 major Android update and 3 years of security updates.

I guess OnePlus is not a major player

Does anybody know if the issue with the F5 failing to connect to Android Auto on some vehicles has now been fixed?
    PeacePipe's avatar
Yes, the solution is to take the bus.
  27. jonhitch's avatar
Just pulled the trigger on this - thanks OP! The care discount worked and I also used £38 worth of Mi points to bring it down to £303.07. This will replace my Poco F2 Pro which served me well, but now has GPS issues - not great when it loses connection while driving!
  28. olops's avatar
My F3 cost £239 reduced from £349 a year and a half ago so guess I'll wait until this goes sub £275/250? Hope the improvement is as good as F1=>F3 was.
    chancooluk's avatar
The improvements from the F3 to F5 are pretty minor really, performance is slightly better on the F5, cameras too (not counting macro, which is downgraded), but otherwise they are largely the same. (edited)
  29. faiz146's avatar
I'm thinking of this, but not sure of I should upgrade and go for the poco f5 pro or pixel 7? Any recommendations
    little_green's avatar
    I have the f5 & the pixel 7 ... Pixel 7 was a huge disappointment tbh & I regret buying it
  30. Daniel_3dt's avatar
How long do they usually take to deliver?
    ollefrolle's avatar
They ship from UK, I think it said 2-5 days
  31. Ali_247's avatar
Cracking deal. Finally a decent upgrade from my F2 Pro without having to give up the headphone jack!
    jonhitch's avatar
I've also come from an F2 Pro. Hope the camera is atleast as good if not better. Initially was concerned by the fact it was plastic instead of metal and glass, but it will be much lighter! Mine should turn up tomorrow!

    This or the S23 ultra?
    chancooluk's avatar
S23 Ultra if you can get it for the same price. If not, then decide how much you are happy to spend.

Anyone happen to know how good Mi are with regards to damage to the phone box?

It was delivered by DPD and there was nothing inside the delivery box to stop it getting bashed about.

I haven’t opened it yet (the phone is still sealed) but I had hoped to take it with me on a short break and set it up on the downtime in the evening.

Would rather not return it if possible and just get either a replacement box or a discount for the damage caused, but guessing I’ve got to return it.

Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar issue and the outcome.
    Daniel_3dt's avatar
Same thing happened to me, the box is designed to handle abuse, phone was fine

Just reread your comment.... it's just a box? I feel asking for a discount is reaching (edited)
  34. jonhitch's avatar
Set up mine today. So far really impressed. Coming from F2 Pro I'm getting used to having a camera hole in display. Phone is really quick, beautiful screen and so far camera seems pretty good.
  35. Sicka_'s avatar
Upgraded to this from Pixel 6a. Miles better in everything (except camera which I don't care about). This phone hardly heats up while gaming compared to the pixel which is a hand burner.
    tho_nee's avatar
Spot on.. Another thing is unlocking the phone with just a small tap is so comforting.. The Pixel 6 finger print scanner was horrendous
