Expensive for a 4GB phone with unknown 48mpix sensor and no OIS

Edit: 48MP OmniVision OV48B2 main camera - 2019 setup from Redmi Note 10 (edited)

Redmi Note 10 had a IMX 582 - Can confirm because i had one and checked the sensors myself

    Kimovil also says 582 kimovil.com/en/…-10

But yes quite a mediocre sensor for the over £200 mark , but the whole budget sector seems to be going in reverse sadly (edited)

Absolutely not. I bought a used Samsung S21 5G 256GB on eBay recently for under £200 and it has +90% battery health. Buy used or 'refurbished' and don't support Xiaomi peddling this junk.

Absolutely, budget sector has gone backwards nowadays. Better off getting a refurb from 2020/2021 rather than these new devices.

Even for anyone concerned with warranty should get a phone from a place like cex which offers 2 year warranty on their used phones

I need an android phone with extra large screen ideally less than £400 it's for an older parent any suggestions? Something around 7" would be ideal

i get that these phones are cheap and offer a lot for the money, but good grief, they really should fix their naming conventions. You can just imagine an executive at Xiaomi trying to figure out why the iPhone 15 outsells literally all of their phones combined to the power of two whilst he announces the release of the Xiaomi Poco Realme Fakeme Redmi Bluemi Note lite 5G pro 11

was thinking about it until I saw it's 4gb Ram

    on the low side

I reckon soon the minimum will need to be 8gb
    LaurenceGough's avatar
Exactly a 4gb phone is basically for only very basic use sadly. 8gb min for fluid use. 10-12gb future proof for life of phone.

Trust me using 3 or 4gb devices is a horrendous experience these days with newer Android versions if you like to multi task at all. If you don't care about loading times or losing where you were and typed before switching app then 4gb fine. (edited)

The whole note 12 series is way over priced even at reduced RRP let alone normal price. Sorry
