I have the Smart band 8 and it's excellent. I came from a Galaxy watch 4, which was OK but too chunky and a terrible battery life.
I much prefer this, still get the same notifications etc but much more discreet. The battery life is excellent, official is 2 weeks but I often go closer to 3 weeks before a recharge. To recharge takes about 20 mins, so again excellent.
For this price fully recommended 👌🏻

I have the smart band 8 too as well and I absolutely agree with you, I've been so impressed with the battery life. Mine usually lasts around 2 weeks until it needs to be charged again. I also love how efficient it is for notifications, there's so much choice with workout options and I use it as an alarm as well and it's never let me down

How would people compare this to the Huawei band 8?

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active display is approximately 10.5% larger than that of Xiaomi Smart Band 8.

Is there anyway to sync to google fit?

I have the Smart Band 8, it also uses the Mi Fitness app. When I open the app and go to Profile, there is a section named "Third-party data". Under that, I can add Google Fit, Strava and Suunto accounts. Under the Google Fit option, it says "When you connect a Mi Fitness to Google Fit, your activity data, including workout distance, active calories, heart rate and sleep duration, will be synced to Google Fit."
That looks good but I have not used this facility.

People beware of this seller. I purchased the band last night for £17.99 and have since been scammed for £181 by the same seller but showing in Madrid! I was notified by my bank fraud department this morning, thankfully the transaction was declined and not deducted from my account....
    Stay safe people!

Wanna get something like this for my son, anyone know if this would fit a slim wrist preteen? Or if suitable straps are available?
    emgala86's avatar
Well I don't know if this helps but I'm 37 and have quite a slim wrist and it does fit mine but with only two holes on the strap to spare

I'm patiently waiting for the Mi Band 9. There's been one leak so far that would imply release is imminent - likely in the next month or so... obviously it'll be the CN model e.g. an AliExpress affair. Huawei have officially revealed the competing Honor Band 9 so it's likely any day now. (edited)

Great price, have had older models before and would buy but really don't get on with the app. Heated.

This may be a daft question, but will ask it anyway...lol.. how does this compare to their Smartband 6. Can anyone find a comparison online, my broadband keeps dropping today so searches are being difficult!

I have a Mi Band 6 which I wear for sleep monitoring and heart rate for medical reasons, though don't rely on them fully as I am trained in fitness and also have SPo2 monitor, BP Monitor, and Polar Heart rate watch, but the smart bands are handy alternative and I have been wanting something newer than the Mi6 Band for a while

I have a band 4.it's the only watch that monitors sleep properly even your naps!

I am just after something that will reliably measure my heart rate throughout the day. Is this any good?
