Remote for elderly for lg and sky

Hi, so I bought a lg smart tv for my dad. He used to use a standard Samsung tv from 2010 with no issues turning the tv on and using sky. With this tv. He has difficulty switching from the home menu or what app it’s in to sky. Tried to teach him on both the lg remote, sky remote many times but he forgets or presses the wrong button, or it in wrong order etc.

Now I’ve been looking online for a simple remote but I’m thinking is there any remote or if I can program the lg remote to directly go to hdmi 1 instead of faffing around when trying to find the input. 

any advice or experience? thank you
