In my second house where I have fitted the Drayton Wiser system. The first was a 2 channel with a hot water tank, this house has 1 channel for a combi. I'd be fibbing if I said it was all plain sailing but overall it's a reasonably priced decent system. I also have a TP-link Deco system and Google home, Anyone who claims these systems work out of the box with no tweaking is living in a different world to the one I inhabit Male,72, very Dull.

Good opportunity to get a discount on the room thermostats that are pretty much never discounted anywhere

I assume I need an add-on to get this working with Google Home? Can anyone confirm what setup Id need? Ta

    check out they work asap.
customer service kept me in a 90s phone shop style 'go away and try .. this! to your wifi protocols!' loop
for one of four which was going through x2 batteries a week
emails for months, then resovled it once i didn't reply within a week.
(and they don't/didn't work with rechargeables).
Went back to manual ones and move the Does work remote thermostat around.
Which can't/couldn't be left displaying the desired/actual heat, because that works on batteries too...
Heat, off to see if there's a chunky real buttons + display stays on room thrmo

What do you mean by your last sentence "chunky deal buttons + display ...."

I had one trv with the battery drain issue that was replaced a few weeks ago. I had another trv replaced this week as it wouldn't fully close and heated up an empty room.
    That's 2 out of 6 since Christmas.

no lie, wondered about buying some from amazon to send them my bad one back through them.
But don't want to sink to 90s phone shop behaviours myself
+ thanks, will watch out for won't close now, and/or cannot Not be clunking away through the night if ever get more.

thought this was a good deal but just gone on their website and it is not because the products are so overly inflated

I have had one since feb 2019, multizone kit, all 7 radiators have the valves on them, I use rechargeable batteries and have never had any issue’s, saved me a fortune

Thinking of getting one. New to all these smart thermostats. Aren't these cheaper elsewhere or am I missing something 😞

If you have a combi there are probably cheaper options. If you have an existing external controller then the wiser system makes a good upgrade.

Had these for two years with no problem, then they slowly started dropping off one by one, and each time I contacted support they replied after a couple of days asking me to go through the same steps over and over. At one point they asked me to turn off all my ZigBee, WiFi and other electronic equipment to see if it could be fixed. Then I was asked to change my WiFi channel...

I've given up and two of my rooms currently are "always on" for heating. Will swap them all out with a different brand in the summer.

They're good when they work, but the technology they use to communicate is clunky and poorly implemented.

Some of these are are supported by Zigbee2mqtt if you want to use them directly in Home Assistant
