Just ordered one of these for my kids birthday. Seems like a good deal and best I can find elsewhere was £500 and better than previous deal posted here. This will be perfect for the games they play (Roblox, Minecraft etc).

Thanks so much for the advice. Huawei Matebook arriving tomorrow!
Looks pretty much the same tbh, both have IPS panel. Both nice laptops though
Good specs and voted hot! (edited)
Looks about the same spec to me, Honor MB has "14 screen where this Asus have "15.6
The Honor is better built, looks more premium.
Just go with which one you think looks best and can most afford as spec wise they are all similar to my eyes
My choice was based purely on cost and the spec I needed and just thought I'd share what I thought was a good deal (edited)
Thanks for sharing!!!
on here it says "15.6" (16:9) LED-backlit FHD (1920x1080) 60Hz Anti-Glare IPS-level Panel with 45% NTSC"
asus.com/uk/…ns/
I assumed that was IPS, but if not apologies, still think its a good deal even if not IPS panel.
Says "4 GB DDR4 2400MHz SDRAM Onboard memory, 1 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion, total up to 12 GB SDRAM", the model in the link has 8GB as there will be different spec'd models in the range I guess. 4GB will be attached to the mainboard and non-removable. (edited)
This video gives a decent overview

That states both IPS and TN (along with a lower Res TN). I think you ordered would be good if you or anyone else can confirm once received. As you say a good deal anyway. Thx
Its coming tomorrow will see if I can sneak a look before its wrapped
I'll let someone else answer that but I think you can get the same machine from Currys eBay for £449.
ebay.co.uk/itm…670
If you look down the eBay page slightly it says the Panorama code works for an extra £49.90 off...
Ah ok fair enough.
Take £49 off with the code. (edited)
Please note other comments, there is a similar specs Dell for £450, 14 inch only, but the code will expire soon.
With regards to these 2:
I really like Asus form factor but Zenbook are premium built while Vivobook are just nice. The built is more premium at Huawei and for me this is important too.
Also, somebody knowledgeable mentioned this is IPS screen. I have not checked that. However, all the Vivobooks I came across so far, even the expensive ones were TN, not IPS. So this may be something to look into it, if it is TN, Huawei us definetely a better but.
Also, some identified the Asus may only have 4GB RAM, which I don't think it is, but you may have to read more. Read the other comments on this deal about the RAM.
For me, as much as I like Asus, the info is confusing and even if it was not, I think Huawei is a better buy. (edited)
its deffo not IPS, but its totally fine for what my young kid is gonna use if for. Some other good deals on this thread now too and it seems to have help a few others out so glad I posted it.
Thanks!
Thanks. Have it in the basket but also have a Huawei D14 for £530 in the Amazon basket. I am so indecisive! Can’t see a good magicbook offer today.
I can't see IPS stated anywhere on either the buy site or the Asus site. Please can you confirm how you know this. Thanks.
asus.com/uk/…ns/
Memory on link above is 4GB not 8GB (edited)
Could someone please tell me whaats IPS? thanks
Looks about the same spec to me just smaller screen than the Asus one. That link is £499 though isnt it?
it's an average laptop. Main concerns are poor screen, not an IPS. Only the top of the range Ryzen 7 has it.
And throttling issue due to insufficient cooling.
