YouTube premium 96p a month (individual) or £1.46 a month (family) via Argentina VPN

As the title says, the price for YouTube premium via Argentinian peso is constantly decreasing and now rests at under £1 as of today when the payment left my account. Noticed the previous post was expired so thought I would see if mods would let me post again given the lower price now.

Usually £11.99 in the UK so this is a steal. Ad free viewings, download in the app, and similar behaviour in YouTube music make this really useful for most. The family plan is a great option too if you have multiple people who would benefit.

You do need an Argentinian VPN and billing address, but a free trial and a random hotel will do. They will accept a UK debit card however just fine.

    1. create a new gmail account - with country set to Argentina
    2. add a payment method, preferably a fee-free card like revolut (make sure you have the monies on the card)
    3. setup for youtube premium and pay in pesos
    4. log into your iphone with the newly created account

    the reason for step 1 is to avoid any messing up with your goolge playstore or other google services that might be linked to the uk account
    the other reason i use step 1 is because then i can log the "new" account on all devices without fear of messing up my personal email (which is on gmail) or google drive data - i.e. my same google premium account is on the tv, my tablet, my pc, my phone, my wifes phone, my daugthers phone, and my daughters tablet.... all can use at the same time no issues
    the only "downside" is that the "recommended for you" and "search history" will be shared across all devices.

    I changed my wife's phone to Argentina but that affects some UK based apps which will not download. And you can only change location once in 12 months

    Yes this is an issue. We can't use Google pay and some other apps. But worth it for YouTube premium for us. Some people might prefer to have the correct locale for their play store

    surely your time is worth more than £1.46 a month! The only downside to this is it would be hard to go back to adds if the deal ended

    yes
    make sure you change it correct place:
    1. go to google payment settings: pay.google.com/gp/…ngs
    2. click on the pencil next to "Country/Region" - and select "Create new payment profile"
    3. Create one with address in Argentina, just google some argentina address
    4. Select the UK profile and at the bottom - you can select "Close payments profile"
    5. confirm its the UK one you are deleting

    that was test payment to see if card is valid

    real debit will come when they charge you

    The benefit of the Indian method is that you have the option of prepaid purchases. You can stack up to 2 years ahead and it will remain active. With monthly subscriptions there is always the possibility of them declining your card payment.

    pretty easy somewehre in settings, im too lazy to do it and the price might flucuate anyway. Also you can only change once per year

    I've been using that but finally signed up for premium to be ad-free on TV's (I think Pi-hole could have solved that but never bothered to configure that). Theres also the benefit with the inclusion of YouTube Music)

    Does anyone know whether this VPN trick works with their Cloud Drive storage? if so, would Argentina be the best country to subscribe with too?

    Yep, pretty good app. No ads, play in background or locked. Only thing letting it down is YouTube's suggestions!

    I've tried this twice, for youtube music. The first time was when they announced GPM was shutting down. It was shocking so I ended it after a couple of months.

    I figured they must've ironed out the flaws by now and would give it another try at the end of last year. Which is why I now use Tidal!

    for all those planning to do this - recommendation: create a new youtube account and don't use your primary account
    that way you can use that account only for youtube and it doesnt mess up your google playstore or other settings

    use the same for youtube premium family via argentina works a charm, and love the youtube music and no-ad on tv youtube!

    Just use Musi app, it’s free and can do everything YouTube premium does.

    its a bit annoying that even with premium, incognito mode still has ads, makes sense since incognito makes you an anonymous user. I still keep vanced around for this use case.

    It’s not the cost it’s the principle. They’ve really gone too far with the ads. Two at the beginning one randomly in the middle and most annoying is one at the end.

    I’ll just watch less stuff on my phone. I have an ad blockers on my Mac so I see zero adds. None on YouTube, All4 or any other services.
