Remember GB f1 is free on channel 4 so your just getting to to watch 2 races for free (edited)

Edit: Sorry, misinterpreted your post. Yes, the GB race is free.

Re: non-GB: Although it is free to watch the highlights on Channel 4, it is only the highlights (although some people may prefer the highlights) and it is on quite a while after the race has ended (sometimes not even on until the next day!). This makes avoiding hearing the result before you watch quite tricky. £10 is a great price - should be the normal price. I've had this offer once and have been waiting for it to come back - thanks OP. (edited)

if only it was this price all the time, they would get a helluva lot more subscribers, they priced me out years ago,and with the cost of living these days, they will price a lot more of us out.however theres golf, darts rugby, cricket and f1 so have some heat for a good spot fella, but seriously having to play extra for hd is laughable these days. As mentioned it's only this price because there is no football. Football is the driver of these channels, so you pay the premium wether you watch it or not.

Just went to cancel my £9.99 deal so it didn't renew, it let me, and then when I checked in offers, it showed another £9.99pm offer. I bought it, and it stacks, so I'll be charged another £9.99 next month, and on 19th Aug will go up to the full price unless I cancel.47655127-h3jbb.jpg

I can see they now state the offer ends 26/06/22.

Does anyone know when it activates?

I.e. Can you can purchase it now, and then activate it in a couple of weeks (or 1 July)? Or does it activate immediately?

2-3 July British GP (free on Ch4)
    9-10 July Austrian GP (Sky)
    23-24 July French GP (Sky)
    30-31 July Hungarian GP (Sky)
    ...then Summer Break...

Can you add this to your account and then activate in August when the football starts? Or is there a maximum period by which you must activate your pass?
    bitz2007's avatar
    bitz2007
No. Now TV Sky Sports month passes activate at time of purchase, so can't be saved for later.

I’d happily pay this whilst the football is on, but alas…! For the season just gone I went with the eight month deal on Now mobile sports, which also included a one-day sports pass for £11 all-in. Obviously you can only watch on your mobile, but it’s surprising what you can put up with and for £11 for the whole football season, I’ll be doing it next time out if possible.

I went for that deal as well and watched the PL, NFL and World Darts on my TV last winter using BlueStacks, Windows 8 laptop and USB cable. (edited)

Still annoyed that Sky have the exlusive rights to broadcast F1 in the UK, blocking out the much better F1TV, but hey, that's what VPNs were made for!
    jvig00's avatar
    jvig00
Sky utter rip off - I watch F1 only but the significantly cheaper and better F1TV is blocked - I understood that they block all VPNs if you try to use it here. which VPN do you use and which country do you subscribe to abroad

Would be a good deal to see a thread on F1TV

Heat added. Best price I've ever seen fror a sports month pass but I'm already on a deal. US Open and Open Golf, 17 days of England cricket (2 tests and 7 single dayers), and 3 F1 Grand Prix in the next month. (edited)

Have they sorted out their app yet? I got this a while ago for the F1 and it was next to useless unless you are able to watch live. Unlike BBC, Amazon Prime, Super Rugby etc you can only watch live or very delayed 'on demand', so if you miss the start because you are out during the day you have to either join wherever the live action is or wait until it is available on demand. With the F1 I sometimes had to wait until the next day before it was available. If you can now watch from the start at any time after the event starts I'll get this, other wise Sky can keep their mediocre offering!

Oh, and don't even get my started on having to pay for Boost to get HD. (edited)

    Replying to

As far as I can tell NowTV streams at 720p / 25fps unless you pay the extra £5 for boost. Personally I think 720p is not too bad but I really notice judder when watching sports at 25fps so I wouldn't be happy without boost. This pushes the price up too much for me.

I started taking more of an interest in F1 this year after watching Drive to Survive but the cost to watch is too high. C4 1 hour highlights are enough.

Might have gone with this as its the max its worth but as you cant bank it no good as currently on a deal full price is far to expensive and charging for HD is a joke

Have a look in Offers under TV Membership, it's there for me but I haven't tried to add it yet. Not sure how to interpret this:

That seems to imply that if you have more than a month outstanding on your current deal that this will replace it.

Agreed. Not much ‘good’ sports to watch at the moment. My yearly membership is wasting away in these months. I paid for boost once and could really not tell the difference between that and the normal resolution.

Ideal time to start looks to be the week after as Silverstone is live on Channel 4. Starting a week later would cover the opening weekend of the EPL, but I can't find any mention of when the offer expires.

Took the £15 a month for 2 month offer last month to watch F1 and golf.

Be wary of their on demand service as I wasn't aware that the F1 isn't available to watch straight after the race. 4OD have the rights to air the catchup first before Sky, so you have to wait hours before it's available to watch. Very disappointing and will be cancelling after my offer has ended.
    bitz2007's avatar
    bitz2007
I watched the golf last night, and F1 qualifying on-demand at about 8am this morning (not sure when it first became available), and am planning to watch golf again tonight with F1 tomorrow morning.

I always find they are very flexible with offers when using on line chat. I had 3 months for £20 a month and just before it had ended I asked what they could do. They offered a further 6 months at the same price plus boost free for 3 months of the 6 (edited)

Will be looking on here for premier League Season deals from about 28th July (Prem League starts the 6th August approx).

Only paid £200 for the whole year last year, but it took a bit of hunting on here.

Should be a similar deal but if it's just the PL you're interested then keep an eye out for a mobile sports pass deal. I got a £9.99 day pass with 8 months of mobile free last year which enable me to watch the PL & NFL seasons plus World Darts on my TV using Bluestacks and a USB cable.
