Product Information

Forget flipping between apps – you'll find all your favourite shows on the home screen of this JVC Fire TV. You'll see recommendations from Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV – and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Each member of the family can have their own profile, so your dramas won't get mixed in with the kids' favourites. It all looks great on the 4K display which is packed with detail and colour. HDR10 and Dolby Vision bring an even greater depth of colour and brilliant brightness, so everything looks more real.

I have a similar model of this TV for my spare bedroom, the worse TV I've ever brought. It's slow and unresponsive. I would never buy a Fire JVC again.

Worse TV I have ever purchased, laggy, will not update, tiny remote, unresponsive. It drives me insane how long it takes to turn on, load up. Sometimes takes four goes just to switch on, awful telly.

Don't buy JVC unless you want to stand in a returns queue when it goes wrong (it will)

I had one of these delivered earlier this week. Despite what others have said, I'm impressed for the money.

It took about an hour to install updates and the apps I use (Disney+, NOW, Netflix, Amazon, BBC, ITV, All4). The picture takes some adjusting to get to how I wanted it and the motion/framerate is not as smooth as I'd like. It's nowhere near my main TV's quality but why would it be?

I live in a no signal area so can't comment on Freeview and haven't bothered to connect to my dish.

The manual is colour, clear and large print (useful at my age) and the setup was easy.

In the small room it's in, sound is great, certainly better than my main (Panasonic) TV, for which I bought an amp and a pair of Mordaunt Shorts immediately after setup.

I love the remote. It's just like the Firestick one but bigger. I have a Firestick plugged in for Kodi (unsure if the TV would take Kodi and I had it setup already) and the remote operates the stick fine. The apps are slightly faster on the TV than on the Firestick.

From standby, the boot up is maybe 5-10 seconds. I don't power off. Modern appliances use next to nothing on standby. The one time I powered off, it seemed to take ages to start.

    It's quite fat/deep for a modern LED.

A little over £200 for a branded 43" smart TV. Astonishing value really. My first flat screen was £2499 plus £749 for the stand!

    Hope this helps someone. (edited)

We have a 67 inch jvc fire tv (bought for the kids so they didnt wreck my ambilight tv) not been too bad but it did only cost us £50 from currys so 🤷‍♀️ cant complain about it, havent needed the soundbar on to backup the noise. For £50 its great.
