Update 2
New deals are in, expired are out.
Hi folks,
I was thinking about another Megathread just before Xmas and after Black Friday.
Looks like a mega one about monitors could be a handy one.
Will update this regularly, and we can compare the latest and greatest offers we have around this time of the year. Yeah, the best time of the year!
I made the main categories by size, but if you would like to see a dedicated category, please let me know!
I remember we had a massive deal for the Dell 27" Gaming Monitor - G2722HS
and many said the HD wasn't good enough for the 27" size. Well, I wish we will have something great for the QHD area as well.

sorted byIF your looking for monitors my advice is PCPP
It covers every single seller in the market, and ive give u the direct link to the uk link.
so its set as price low to high.
on the site menu:
Screen size options.
resolution:
HD 1080 is 1920x1080
QHD 1440 is 2560x1440
UWQHD is 3440x1440
4k is 3840x2160
if we click on 2560x1440 would give u this for example: 1440 link
personal take the ratings with a pitch, not used correctly throughout the site, more deep web search on reviews across.
but from this u can check the cheapest deals, then look at specific on sizes, type of screen, refresh rate. (edited)
Regarding Dell monitors, here is a 10% off single-use code for all SE, S, U, C, E and P series monitors - NN4N2J7T7P69$B - StudentBeans says I can generate a new one every hour, so if you would like one please DM a request. Top Cashback are currently doing 7% cashback on Dell monitors too (NB - it may not work with student discount codes though)
[Update] and more single-use codes:
- from UniDays - KF7DRN9$KV22NR
- from Totum - WN$ZTNRLLNPF7W

buy monitors with an IPS Panel amazing viewing angles and vibrancy but slightly slower than TN panels
monitor size guide
24 inch 1080p
27 inch 1440p
28+ inch 4k
this is because the PPI ( pixels per inch) become too high and you lose out on clarity
some recommendations
AOC 24G2U 1080p 144hz IPS panel can be had for 150£
LG 27GP850 1440p 144hz IPS monitor can be had for 250-300£
M28u 4k 120hz ips montior supports HDMI 2.1 for xbox and ps5 can be had for 400£
Thanks

You don't need a Reddit account you can search and browse without one, you only need one to post. You shouldn't need to post as they've discussed everything you can think of. Read the community info for the sub before posting if you decide to post. (edited)

Text looks bad on the QD-OLED Ultrawides such as the Alienware.

Prices went *up* on black Friday for this
Edit: I would also consider raising the budget and getting a small 4k TV if it had decent response times. (edited)
Thanks
I went for one of these Dell QHD gaming monitors, fantastic screen, identical to the LG 850, just hoping it comes before Christmas.
Dell S2721DGFA 27 Inch QHD (2560x1440) Gaming Monitor, 165Hz, IPS, 1ms, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, HDR 400, DisplayPort, 2x HDMI, 5x USB 3.0, 3 Year Warranty amzn.eu/d/eUVRQEH (edited)
I dont game as much but what would be a good balance?
Haven't read the whole thread, but can recommend the electriQ 43"
I'm using a Kensington doc which connects to and powers my MacBook Pro.
Rectangle app great for splitting screen and I tend to have main window in the middle and then stuff on both sides.

This is my wfh setup. Ilyama 34 ultra wide 144hz IPs panel(for gaming and main working screen) and a couple of hd 27inch work cheapos for screen real estate.
It is a shame for the manufacturer to make FHD @ 27'' nowadays.
27" - curved - QHD - 144Hz
Hit me with those deals.
