I bought the Pixel 7 normal and then got the 6a for £134 from Google after they did the inflated iphone trade in (£145 for a iphone 5s) and using a 15% off code.
I have been using the 6a for over a week now and for my typical day to day use I find it to be a very good phone. I am mainly Whatsapp'ing, no other social media app'ing and YT videos here and there. The only thing that I am missing from the 7 is the face unlock and that little bit quicker performance, but the 6a is no slouch. Bought this as a backup phone and now it has become my primary
Camera wise the 6a takes very good photos as many reviews have pointed out, especially coming out on top on a blind test by MKBHD. The screen is has good colours and is sharp. Size and weight wise ideal. Battery wise for me both the 6a and 7 last the day as I am on calls literally all day Monday to Friday from 8 to 5 and have around 20% left. The 6a has lasted me two days of minimal use this gone Saturday and Sunday. OS wise it has been updated to Android 13 and everything feels smooth, to me it feels that bit better than the Pixel 6 I also used and sold on. Not a mobile phone gamer, so cannot comment.
