A trail bike at heart, with full adventure credentials. The Huntsman will have your back, be it rocky technical singletrack, or locked out land cruising. 65 degree head angle offers longer trail for downhill stability. With 130mm travel upfront for aggressive trail mode. 58mm BB drop keeps rider planted whilst ensuring ground clearance. The steeper 75 degree seat tube angle puts you above the crank for better climbing efficiency

Strictly controlled triple butted tubing result in a frame that is strong, responsive, and comfortable whilst shaving off excess weight. Tubes wall thickness is strictly controlled to offer strength at welds and lightness. The custom bottom bracket yoke gives large tyre clearance whilst ensuring stiff power transfer. Custom seat stay wishbone reduces harsh feedback and further increasing tyre clearance. 34.9mm dia toptube and 38.1 dia downtube offer sprightliness and strength.

29er x 2.8 Big tyre clearance for wide treads. Adds comfort, capability and mud clearing. BSA 73mm Bottom Bracket Ultra-durable, creak free and easily serviceable. Cables are routed externally for accessibility and ease of service. Stealth dropper post routed.

Modular sliding horizontal dropout system allows for easy single speed converting.

3 sets of bottle cage bosses, Ready for multiday bike packing adventure. (2 size small)

SRAM 12 speed SX Eagle groupset offers a huge range of gears for getting you up any gradient. A clutch derailleur and narrow wide chainring mean the chain will be noise free in rougher terrain. On-One has paired this great drivetrain with SRAM Level Hydraulic Disc Brakeset, top-flight stopping power combined with great lever ergonomics.

WTB I30 Wheels provide fast rolling confidence. Tubeless compatible, the 30mm internal width gives you a wider tyre profile, offering more grip and control. Selcof finishing kit is used throughout the bike, including the wide and stable Enduro6 bars and a short 50mm stem for responsive yet controlled steering.

Upgrade to a Selcof Watchtower Dropper Post

Perfect for riding technical off-road terrain, giving you space for maximum manoeuvrability on the bike and better pedalling efficiency. A dropper post is an essential mountain bike accessory and with the SELCOF WATCHTOWER cable actuated dropper post youll be attacking every climb with ease and conquering every descent confidently.

Agreed - prices appear to be normalising again. Covid bike prices were insane!

Bike knowledgeable people. In your opinions, what's the better pick a Vitus Nucleus VRS or the bike here?

This to my mind. Better specs all round pretty much. (edited)

Genuinely interested, I know little about bikes but would like to know if this a £600 bike or actually a £1400 as advertised.

Can £600 be better spent elsewhere like at Halfords or on a Vitrus or should I got for it.

You won't get anything similar at Halfords without going for the Bizango Pro which is a fair bit more expensive than this.

Any options on this vs a used Whyte 801 v4?

My local bike shop is selling a used whyte that I was going to go for but this seems a possible alternative.

This. Unless the used bike is like new. I always find used bikes are very overpriced from bike shops.

I prefer Shimano personally but have had SRAM and loved it too.

Great price, great spec, but...15kg. Bit beefy. I assume the frame is pretty heavy.

Ah shame the Earth & blue steel is out of stock in Large as i would of gone for it. Orange is a bit too bright for me as I prefer to blend it without too much attention.

Strip it, rattle can paint it. I can't afford a high-end bike so I always paint mine myself just to make them look less crap. It's easier than I thought it would be and surprisingly satisfying too

It's a great way to get to know your bike as well, dismantling it and then putting it back together. Haven't had to use a bike shop for year's 😁

Low end rock shock fork, but still better than most other low end forks. Other than that, not a bad deal. If I had a spare few quid id happily take it for a blast through the woods.

It's a very good deal but certainly not worth £1399! The Scandal is cheaper than that with SRAM GX Vs the lower SX on show here. Also this is significantly heavier. Still a good price mind.

This or the Vitus Sentier? Opinions anyone. Tbh I was looking for an eBike but they are still too rich for my pocket so was also considering an aftermarket electric motor but was unsure if either bike are suitable?
    wilburscoville9191's avatar
    wilburscoville9191
I think the Sentier for the better fork and looks. However I don't like the brakes so much on the Sentier and you don't know the exact ones you get until it arrives.

Looking for an entry point, is this good?

Would it be worth spending a little more to get a full suspension bike?

    For example: halfords.com/bik…wcB
    This.Is.Dog's avatar
    This.Is.Dog Author
What's it going to be used for?

Hard tail much faster to ride, but full suspension faster over very bumpy terrain/downhill.

Sorry, not all that up on my bikes…
I have a super heavy Halfords bike and want something better (and lighter) for family trips out. Is this a decent option for track and trail, or is it too downhill specific?
    Ben_Topping's avatar
    Ben_Topping
This isn’t a downhill specific bike at all really. 29inch wheels ideal for generic trail, also downhill tend to have a more aggressively designed frame. This is a great bike at a great price from a top brand.

im 124kg and i ride a bike to the gym, lol. but granted it does look like a thin frame.
