had one from blacks 2 weeks ago and mine also had damage to the frame but i paid £169.15 with voucher code delivered but you cant blame black s or go outdoors for that! i blame evri for poor delivery, if you have any knowledge on bikes BUY THIS BIKE NOW! it will not be beaten for spec or quality anywhere for the price ! the same spec bike in halfords or decatalon will cost £549.99 to £ 600.00 maybe you will have teething problems but at this price they are giving the bike away! i have rode my claibre point 3 times so far at about 60 miles and it rides better than my specialized bike costing £1000 and my rockrider from decatalon so do not be put off by bad reviews and poor delivery!

I got one of these in the previous deal and its been fantastic. The box was a bit battered but the bike was fine inside and had no issues with the gears etc. I did spend a while using thread lock on various bolts and did find some that were quite loose so worth a go over before riding. Otherwise very happy with it so far.

Good luck finding them, none of the Go Outdoors and Blacks within a reasonable distance to me have them in stock.

I had to return the one I ordered online as the frame was damaged and some of the fasteners had corroded

had mine delivered last week, but havent opened yet, judging by all these comments i need to open and check it asap before the 14 day returns window ends

Took the bike to go Outdoors in Stockton after receiving in post the derailer would not like up with the wheel cassette and slipped gears in my opinion they have reduced to Clear due to frame geometry out of line don't by people got my money back but not my time spent trying to solve

Had mine for just over a week now from from the previous deal. With some minor attention and tightening, and provided everything is installed and undamaged, these are an absolute bargain.

Copied from the previous deal -
Mines arrived a week ago, the QC checks clearly were just slapping a sticker somewhere and calling it a day.. mines was missing half the headset (upper and lower bearing covers, upper compression spacer and seal) so it was either shoogly fork or so tight it just wouldn't turn.

Straight swapped another £20 FSA #11 headset in there and now I'm pretty happy with it, even the brakes seem to be holding pressure .. Jury's still out on the 780mm bars (I usually ride 680 on a 27.5 so these feel a bit like steering a boat), but with some minor gearing tweaks (or a 1x conversion), alignment corrections, and the dropper I have on the way this could turn out pretty sweet.

Cheers for that. What dropper have you ordered?

Bought two on previous deal and had a few issues with both of them. Brakes not working on one and gear issues on the other.

Took them to GoOutdoors who initially said warranty wasn't valid as had built myself. However they then decided that they would rebuild the bikes to ensure warranty was valid and both in working order. Which obviously saves me a job of sending them back.

FYI the free 6 week check mentioned in the instructions is apparently only valid if built in store? Well atleast that's what they said anyway, no mention of that in the instructions.

Picking my 2 up at the end of this week and
hoping they don't have any major issues as it's a lovely bike. Even better considering the price!

Quite obvious why they are reduced, a lot of issues looking through the 2 previous deal threads. (edited)

Were they £189 earlier in the week?

I had to return mine due to rear folks being 10 mm out of line

Your link isn't for the jamis. What's better about the jamis?

Mine came 2 weeks ago with the rear derailleur all mangled but managed to straighten the hanger and get it working. For under £180 its still a bargain.

Anyone tried BLC 10% OFF instore?

This one (brand new / returned) or Carrera Vulcan (used from marketplace) at this price point?
    JamesDougal's avatar
Probs better equipment on vulcan, but I paid £80 more than this and got a 2yr old Voodoo Bizango 2nd hand which was never used.... One of the highest reviewed bikes for under £750
