Unsure if the mention of “No-Fly” is supposed to target people with a fear/dislike of flying, or is implying that this is somehow environmentally conscious!

Cruise ships have the highest carbon footprint of any form of transport! It’s some pretty extreme greenwashing to imply anything else.

Not condemning those who choose to go on one (it looks fun!) but it’s definitely not something to feel eco-friendly about.

That's rather misleading, as the emissions will include the energy used for your heating, hot water, lighting, cooking, cleaning, washing up, laundry as well as the actual kilometres travelled.

Ha ha, definitely. Visited Skagen last year on a cruise and quite liked the place. Got the local bus and went up to the point where the Baltic and North Sea meet. Seems to be a Danish tradition to do that.

Great price if you want to be stuck inside with no windows
    Expensive otherwise

It's only £100 more for an outside cabin, so hardly makes it expensive, especially compared to original price? Plus, who wants to sit in their room looking out the window anyway, I'm asleep most of the time I'm in my room

If only it wasn’t with ambassador. It’s an amazing price though

They’ve previously cancelled cruises at last minute even when people where on them in tilbury for less than a few hrs. Lots of issues with failing saftey checks.

Does anybody know what the drink prices are like if you don't buy the package? Did ring them to ask but they didn't know which seems odd.

    surridges's avatar

Absolutely fantastic price. I'd be all over this if I could make the dates.

Incredibly reasonable gratuities (£5 per day) and drink prices.

Why has this deal been pinned to the top of my feed for the last 24hrs?
    Getting annoying now. (edited)

If having a deal pinned to the top of your feed is an annoyance then you can take pleasure in the fact that you have a very privileged life. Have you tried not opening the app for a day or two till it disappears, then all your troubles will be over. I hope you make it through this difficult time x.

    Bargain.

Older, smaller ship more traditional cruise experience.

One of the must do itinerary and a very cheap way to do Baltic's.

Can be variable weather in May we have had good ones, dry but still chilly.

This has potential as the bargain of the year at £30pppd(with grats).

"Hidden Nordic Treasures" itinerary, includes the 3 Baltic States (not Nordic countries), but excludes Norway?

    Really, it's a Baltic Cruise.
The only "hidden treasure" might be something mysterious lurking in the waters near Bornholm! (edited)
    Suze1974's avatar
    Suze1974
Six out of the 10 places visited are in Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Only Norway is missing out of the Scandinavian countries, so definitely more Nordic than Baltic....(confused)
The only thing likely to be 'hidden' in the waters near Bornholm, is likely to be of Russian origin, but that's a whole other story!

Do you have to ring to book?
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    blahblahblah1234
Yes, or get them to call you back.
Either way, you have to speak to someone, then get the hard sell for extras and upgrades.
How many people end up paying just the deal price £798?

What is the internet package like? Would it be feasible to work remotely on the ships internet?
    surridges's avatar
    surridges
internet would work out £10 a day if you booked it for the whole voyage ie £160. my understanding is its ok but i dont think it would be up to remote working if you are heavily reliant on fast internet. thats just my opinion from what i have heard as i dont actually use onboard
