Park and ride is only 15mins along the road which means you get a bus directly into York Centre and you don’t get caught up in all the traffic and have to pay perking fees.

Stayed here earlier this year when this deal was on groupon at the same price. Exact same, bird of prey & afternoon tea thrown in. We went Thur & Fri and happy to pay the £10 extra as it is such a good deal anyway. The bird of prey brilliant, run by volunteers, got to handle owls, plus a Golden Eagle on the end of my arm - Wow.
The picture shows the main building which is the old part, the accommodation is in the newer modern block. Buffet full English breakfast, restaurant available evenings (large portions). We did the two courses for two people and got the free bottle of house red, very nice and very filling. Nearly forgot about the cream tea, we were so engrossed by the birds of prey visit which is a two minute walk at the back of the hotel, note that it is open six days a week (closed Tuesdays).

All in all a lovely 2 days - Recommend

Thinking of booking this again but never used travelzoo, is it a similar voucher company? (edited)

Ach darn it. “No pets allowed as part of this offer”. Makes one think they do take pets just not for their special offers. No doubt the price to stay there including two small dogs would be unaffordable.

They're not pet friendly, regardless of the deal.

Stayed here 4 times and it's always a great vacation. Great grub and the bird thing is just a short walk down the path.

PS, it's Burn Hall not Burns Hall

The York Bird of Prey centre is a fantastic experience. Knowledgeable staff and really interactive. They get the birds out for flights and holding, although this would likely be weather dependent! Great deal. We had afternoon tea at Burn Hall on a previous deal and really couldn't fault it.
