mobiles.co.uk was good a few years back but last 1 year they have been very inconsistent with cashback. Cheques don't get issued due to "system issues" or glitches and then have to call them multiple times to get cashback. These has happened thrice in the last 4 cashback claims.

It is a good deal but be warned that Vodafone can and will increase the monthly line rental mid contract by CPI + 3.9%. Mine went up recently by 14.4% which is a bit of a stinger.

They also increase the price on the pre-discounted price. So my mobiles.co.uk deal is equivalent of £8.50 a month, it turns out the base package was £26 - with various discounts applied etc. so they’ve done the increase on the £26 and I only paid £15 before cash back so it’s a total scam be warned! Now I pay £17.16 so they upped my contract by £2.16.

Just to be clear on this, when you take the package out from mobiles.co.uk they advertise the deal as £15 with a redemption cashback. It’s not. It’s actually a Vodafone £26 plan with discounts applied, so the price increase is based on the original contract amount which isn’t advertised when you take the contract out. If I went to Ofcom about mobiles.co.uk I’m 100% confident I’d win on mis-selling grounds. (edited)

Unlimited Minutes and Texts too but that's a given with any plan nowadays, as far as I've seen that are £6 and above.

Question on upgrades via mobiles.co.uk (i.e voda to voda):

It says I can upgrade from Vodafone to Vodafone. It also says I need to wait for my SIM (I currently have a vodafone e-sim). If I upgrade does the new sim card arrive with my current number already active? or is there a point in time where my existing number (pre-upgrade) goes offline?
I don't want there to be a point in time where my current number is not reachable as I need my line active at all times. With a normal upgrade via your existing provider this is not a problem.
Would appreciate confirmation on this please? Thanks.

Been on this for last 4 years. Cash back was on time until recently there's been a big delay. Also data has been flaky during some months with maintenance ongoing.

Similar deal with e2save site/brand. I've just upgraded to it as in last 30 days of previous e2save cashback vodafone deal.

Both mobiles.co.uk and e2save are owned by Carphone Warehouse. The cash back team are the same across both sites (confirmed by their phone agent)

I purchased this deal yesterday via Topcashback but it has only tracked at £5, is that normal?
    willy_willy's avatar
    willy_willy
I think it should be tracked at £10. I have the same issue but in Quidco. I tried to raise up a claim under click "incorrect" button.
