Is it difficult to get out of the contract after the six months.
Wammer
If you don't want to keep your Lebara number, you just turn off Auto Renew.
dogsbelly
Is there an esim option at checkout.
Mr.Plow
No, not with Lebara, I'm also hoping they'll introduce it.
shirlsky
I had an email from Lebara saying that I had 16 days to acticate my sim or I may lose the promotional rate. I bought it earlier this month so it seems they want us to activate the sim within a month now. I was coming to the end of my 6 months 1p offer so I ordered another deal as I just use the data. (edited)
Rahan
Hmm, that's a shame. I think Lebara are losing too much money so they are having to tighten their belt.
K0YS
I tried live chat to see if I can get this deal as an existing customer and keep my number. No luck unfortunately. However, he did link me 5gb for 4.90pm (edited)
t3r4
FYI if you manually renew your plan on day 29 instead of letting it auto renew you'll rollover your allowances, quite useful to me.
booboy2
This will be ideal for my daughter as her second SIM as she only has 100mb of data on her sky SIM.
Are these multi sized SIM cards?
Edit: yes they are standard, micro and nano sized.
Can you add a zero overspend limit like with sky does anybody know please? (edited)
thedean1999
Yes - you can have a zero overspend limit.
Once you have the sim and it is activated, ensure you turn off the slider/option for auto-top (in my experience it is off anyway by default).
This is distinct from the auto-renewal slider/option - this must be left on so the sim renews monthly otherwise you lose the offer (49p/99p pm etc).
Use them myself and in my area signal is excellent and so is customer service/porting etc
Highly recommend Lebara

My current 5p deal ends next month. What are the best port out options right now? I used Asda and Lyca previously.
KodaBear
If you used Asda within the last 360 days, don't use it again or you'll have problems getting a new PAC Code due to a limitation of their system. I'd personally just use Lyca again if it was me. It means you can get a 49p SIM Card with mins/texts/data and lets you use your number for the few days that it's on their SIM without having to buy a top up.
Shikhar2828
I need Atleast 20-30 gb while using my existing no. Any help please ?
Currently on O2 and the network sucks ! (edited)
austinc
iim on the lebara uswitch deal, £3.18pm for the first 3 months then £7.95. no contract either
queer1
EU Roaming remains in situ on all Lebara SIMS FYI and it's the highest @30GB cap. The only close alternative I'm aware of is O2 @25GB.
BlueCreek
Recently found this out with Three who have a 12GB limit and I forgot to turn off iCloud syncing blasted through 12GB in the first 24 hours of a holiday because it uploaded some videos I took
shug119
Good find, how long before you need to activate it.
chrish22022
90 days officially. Some have had it work after 4 months but I wouldn't risk losing the offer, I have activated 3 at around 85 days and worked fine.
Pimpnutz
Can anyone tell me if WiFi calling is included with this deal? I’ve had a look but can’t see it mentioned anywhere?
KodaBear
It is. But only on certain devices. Most commonly Google Pixel devices are the ones that keep coming up as being unsupported due to requiring a special carrier profile which Lebara refuse to create and release to Google.
Professor_Chaos
I have all my sims with Lebara have used Lyca and find Lebara much better . Lyca customer service is awful so if I do need to do the PAC code dance it will be with Three
DoublePortingDad
Mind there are limitations with Three. I think the number cannot be with them twice within 12 months.
Familyguy1982
Glad to see they're keeping up with these cheap 6 month deals!
Well spotted. What was different about that deal, just curious, now that the deal has been merged with the present one.
tintowellfan
Just came off the Lebara 5 pence deal for six months and moved to the O2 £5 deal. Did stay for a while after and payed the full rate as thoght it only correct to do so, maybe just me. Anyway, big mistake, absolutely zero signal, crap support, no wifi calling unless you contact O2 to activate it, and no voicemail notifications if not in a cellular zone. Compare to Lebara, outstanding customer service, great app, wifi calling from the go. Better signal, but this is because O2 are generally crap, my son warned me.
t3r4
The O2 deal looks great and I'd try it if it weren't a 12 month contract. I got burnt in Feb 2020 signing up to a 12 month redemption deal with 60GB. One month I litterally used under 50MB data due to being at home. Given the mergers, pot luck on EU roaming and extremely variable network quality of everyone (yes even EE) these days I don't think I will risk any 12 month deals.
Lebara honestly are excellent and I've come back to them twice having tried Lyca and a redemption deal on Vodafone. Not sure I'd call their app great but given everyone else's is just truly shocking (even the big 4). Also the unofficial "rollover" of data by doing a manual renewal each month at least saves me a few £ without doing the double porting dance. It's just a shame they are losing competitiveness particularly if you want more than 12GB data, my usage is steadily increasing and not sure I'll be able to stick with them much longer... (edited)

If you dont use these sims for a set period (I think its 2/3 months) they get turned off and your account cancelled.
I wanted to use this as a car emergency phone but with this in mind its not suitable.
KodaBear
ALL pay as you go accounts require the user to make a chargeable call once every 90-180 days depending upon the network. You’ll not find a single network that doesn’t have this same dormancy policy without signing up to a proper SIM only contract.
Angel_Gama
Something similar for existing customers? Thank you
RedXI
If you use Gmail just add a "." somewhere in your email address where there isn't normally one, and voila, you're a new customer.
khang365
does the 6 month start from when you activate SIM?
Wammer
Yes, mine did.
Edit - I paid the first month when I ordered then set up Auto Renew and payment method when I activated it. The next payment was taken a month after it was activated and you get an email the day before the next payment is due. It showed the full amount / name of the plan, but only charged the offer price. (edited)
Frits
DO NOT TURN AUTO RENEW OFF! It cancels the deal and you will have to pay full price the next month. I have this for my father as it is cheaper than pay as you go!
Wammer
DO NOT TURN AUTO RENEW OFF!
Do not turn Auto Renewal off ... before the 6 month offer expires or you will lose it.
It's fine to turn it off after 6 months if you don't want to pay full price.
Topper1900
How do you know from the app how many months of the cheap deal you have left before reverting to full price??
kopite79
You can't tell from the app. If you log in on the website it tells you there when it reverts to full price.
tan159
Anybody know if I can use this as a backup internet connected to my router when I get occasional dropouts?
earney
I use in a mobile 4g router no issues
dishmachine888
Link not working, returns error page
Change_Me Author
Weird I got the links working for me but when I post them and click on it gives an error
Good price, shame on Vodaphone as virtually no coverage where I live, need to stand in the street to get even 1 bar & nothing in my house at all even though we show full signal on coverage map & everyone I know here with Vodaphone has had to switch, Only EE reliable, so no O2, Tesco etc & 3 are also shocking here
At this price will try as a second sim in my dual sim phone for 6 months though (edited)
Wammer
even though we show full signal on coverage map
Every single provider shows good coverage via the checker on their own website. The Ofcom checker is far more reliable.
Discente
You can't all be NEW customers! I'm on my 4th email address/Throw away number/Landfill SIM/Letter...how do you do it!
Wammer
If you need more than 4, you can unlink your earlier ones.
oranjuice
I already have an active sim with lebara. Can I add this as a second line using the same email address?
Wammer
You can have up to 4 sims on the same account. To add more, unlink the earlier ones.
jddavis
What's the deal with using this abroad??
Will I be able to use access all my data for free even if I'm in Germany for 6 months at a time?? I will obviously activate in UK
xerker
Yes, EU roaming is your UK allowance or 30gb if you have an unlimited data plan
ministrymason
Has anyone had any issues lately? Joined Lebara 4 months ago. It’s unusable in cities or crowded places. The internet just stops working. Is this vodaphone in general because they’re turning off 3G or Lebara? I was with vodaphone before and never had an issue (edited)
t3r4
Had occasional issues but it seems random to me. I had 5G yet it just wasn't working at all in Marylebone last week. Worked again once I got towards Paddington.
That being said I also have issues on my work phone that's on EE in central London as well - particularly congestion. So imo it's absolutely not network specific...
MooreZero
My current deal ends in 2 months. If I buy this now can I activate it in 2 months?
Wammer
Yes, up to 90 days from comments here.
Professor_Chaos
anyone know if the Lebara - Three PAYG with no credit - Lebara PAC Code Dance still works?
My six month coming to an end so looking to find another deal ....
KodaBear
It does indeed still work.
I always tend to suggest the 45p Lyca SIM Cards though. It means you can still call/text/use data with your own phone number for the couple of days that your number is on their SIM Card. Something you can't do with the Three SIM unless you buy a top up for it.
Just to let you know. You must activate a new Lebara sim within 84 days of receiving it (12 weeks) before the number becomes invalid and inactive.
I mention that, as I've just discovered that all those previous 1p, 5p and 6p deals previously on HUKD are void and I have loads of 'em So here I go again... 😁
Wammer
How did you find out, did you call them?
I have 2 x 49p sims bought at the end of April I was intending activating within 90 days. You have reminded me that I wanted to activate them on the 1st of the month so the date was easy to remember.
DoublePortingDad
Seem that penny sims are a thing of the past. Is 49 pence the cheapest deal now?
KodaBear
In terms of Lebara yes I believe so. If you want to go with other brands then cheaper is available. THM still have a 1p SIM and Lyca have a 45p SIM. Both run on the EE Network.
Dy_86
Lebara/Vodafone signal is just the worst ever (edited)
rodman
Lebara is on Vodafone
BlueCreek
Is it possible to move a current lebara sim to this deal without porting in and out?
KodaBear
Nope
7913249082
How is this hot? They've put up their prices 49x from last year!
Wammer
Because it's still a great deal compared to elsewhere.
samsmith66
I would go for 6 months free Disney+

Nashy23
Nice one. Thank you
rosanna.howard
Already have this. On Vodafone network. Great deal easy to port number. Highly recommended
Weirdy
Can't believe I got the 89p per 5gb last month but not as good as the old days when it was a farthing with TCB + 5x Groats cashback
ossian
Their terms say you need to be buying for your own use. How do I buy this for my kids who don't have debit cards?
Professor_Chaos
Just buy and pay yourself ??? Is it that complicated
jamkhan
When does this offer expire?
stamfordblue
