I bought the same one a few months ago, and love it.

One brew gives me two mugs of coffee - I fill the mug about a third full with the brewed coffee, then top up from the kettle.
Probably offends the connoisseurs, but for the second cup I warm up the brewed coffee in the microwave and again top up from the kettle.

It does make lovely strong coffee though, so I wouldn't have more than this amount each day.
Appreciate that others are more tolerant of caffeine and strong coffee, so might want to make more than this.

Apart from the massive price difference, what else is different about the quality of the cup of coffee out of this as opposed to one out of a four hundred quid domestic coffee machine? I'm guessing this is a lot of effort per cup, which I know for some that is part of the appeal. (edited)

It's not a lot of effort - you put the water in the bottom part, some ground coffee in the middle part, put it on the stove and it's done in about 3-4 minutes. There are *far* more complex ways of making yourself coffee, this is pretty fast and easy in comparison.

As for the difference with a big expensive machine - I wouldn't say this is worse or better, they are just different. It also depends a lot on the beans you're using - I have coffee which I honestly think tastes a lot better from the mokka pot, and beans which only my Siemens coffee machine can brew well in my opinion. A lot of coffee making is experimentation to see what *you* like and then enjoying it.

Are you making coffee for your hamster 🐹 ️??

A '6 cup' one makes a decent mug full of strong coffee by the way (edited)

As the name suggests, a 6-cup is for 6 people. I would strongly advise against drinking the whole 6 cups for one person. It's suicide. The coffee needs to be diluted with water and/or milk.

Great price - handy because with a regular Moka pot, the little metal plate you have to use for induction hobs are a pain (ours seemed to get too hot and discolour the glass somehow?)

We've since got an espresso machine but I'm still tempted by this, used to love the process of using the Moka pot (edited)

I bought one of these for £11 in TK Maxx last month. Stainless steel 6 cup, I think the 8 cup was about £15 or £16. I only needed it for travelling so bought the smaller one. These are NOT on offer, seemed the standard price and they had loads on the shelf. (edited)

Not a chance it was a Bialetti 6 cup induction for £11

There is no 8 cup either. Perhaps you saw some no brand mokka pots.

This is absolutely on offer. (edited)

Is it definitely induction? I think it's still hit and miss as I got one that was meant to be induction and it works on one hob but not my current, worth a try

My own favourites are lavazza qualita rossa. I also find Ethiopian coffee super fruity and delicious! Union coffees are super as well but very expensive

I've got this model. It's excellent if you're making it for 2 people, but get the 3 cup of you're making it for yourself. (A "cup" is 120ml in this context). (edited)
