Answer your door, no matter where you are, from your smartphone with 1080p HD day and infrared night video, and two-way audio.
Experience long-lasting battery life, customised alerts, privacy settings and more.
Get alerts when motion is detected or someone presses Blink Video Doorbell. Connect to existing doorbell wiring or pair with a Sync Module (sold separately) to engage live view and two-way audio on demand.
Choose to save and share clips in the cloud with a free 30-day trial of the Blink Subscription Plan or locally with the Sync Module 2 and USB drive (each sold separately).
Designed for every home, go wire free or connect to existing doorbell wiring to also sound your current indoor bell. Without wiring, you can use your Blink Mini camera (sold separately) as an indoor plug-in chime.
Set it up yourself within minutes, with the two included AA lithium batteries, and then connect to Wi-Fi using the app. The newly designed internal battery seal provides IP54 weather resistance rating.
Works with Alexa: receive alerts and answer with two-way audio. When wired or when paired with a Sync Module, just ask Alexa to answer the front door.
Includes: a Blink Video Doorbell and mounting kit (including screws and fixings). Does not include a Sync Module 2, which can be found in all “Systems” above (recommended for optimal use while on battery).

Not a good deal at all, people say the lag is ridiculous.

Definitely spend the extra and buy the one with the hub for £49.99, battery life extends up to 2 years and no need to pay for a subscription to record footage.

Is that for a blink? I can't find that one.

Can anyone confirm please, if I buy this with the sync module 2 do I need a subscription? I've seen some people saying subscriptions recently became compulsory but I thought that was the whole point of the sync module? Thanks very much.

I've bought the bundle with the sync module and couple of cameras and can confirm you don't need a subscription to be able to record local storage on a usb stick. However the main downside of not having a subscription is that if you have a lot of videos being recorded it does take a bit longer to load the video recorded and can only delete one video at a time. With cloud storage(paid) you can select multiple clips at once to delete

Depends on whether you have the hub or not, your proximity to the hub or wifi router, how well your router can optimise for 2.4Ghz as well.

Just for reference, if the doorbell is rung, my phone will bell 3 seconds after the button press. I am not paying for the subscription either.

If you want the best for just no hassle and will work well in any circumstances, pay 5 times this price and get the google nest doorbell.

If you're looking for a wired doorbell that chimes with your existing doorbell chime, this thing is absolutely useless.

I paid an electrician to wire it up (per the instructions) to then work out that i) it still won't work with any chime I've found in the UK (US only) and ii) wiring it up doesn't actually power it and you have to use batteries anyway. Could have saved myself £60.

The battery life is dreadful. 2 years? Good luck with that. It'll last 2 years if you have it with motion detection 'on' for about 2 minutes a day.

I haven't had lag issues with it, it seems fine from that perspective. The quality of video is OK, it can be a bit crap at night but I installed an outdoor motion light near it so it'd be fine.

The only reason I got it was because I already had a couple of Blink outdoor cameras + minis and I thought it would be convenient to have it all connected to one 'family' and app (plus I had the hub and cloud storage for free) - which it genuinely is pretty good for, but now that Amazon charge for the subscriptions and I'm off the legacy plan I had, I think it's time to move on to a better doorbell.

This issue in not isolated just to Blink. Ring and Google Nest suffer the same challenge.
Some of the older and more basic Ring doorbells claim they work from 8V but in most cases, that's just not realistic due to voltage drop over the cable from the transformer to doorbell.
Most existing UK wired doorbells are 8-12V, video doorbells need double that voltage at 16-24V to work properly.

Screwfix sell 24V transformers for under a tenner. You will need a separate chime/bell to add to that as well.

Your electrician should know better, this stuff is becoming very common now.

So quick question on this then please dont murder me, Which is better Blink or Ring?

Reading comments unless your on a subscription with them you don't get past recording etc.....; Unless you buy a Blink device with the Sync Hub then you have the recording saved locally.

Does the Blink only work with Alexa (yes i understand it the same brand, but i thought i'd ask in case it could be used with other smart speakers)

Thanks again for anyone who replies

Blink can be used without subscription. Ring will not record anything without subscription.
    Both work with Alexa.

Thanks OP, ordered. £28.99 with a blink subscription.

My RING doorbell is on it's last legs, and already have a few blink cameras, also recently bought the floodlight Camera, which arrived the other day.

    Heat added

Where do you add the blink subscription to get the discount at checkout?

What a load of rubbish! Thought I'd treat myself and get this (with 2 added cameras) for £88 on Prime Day. The quality of the footage is not great in the day but the night is absolutely awful!
The worse thing is it delays recording by around 20-30 seconds so you only get part of a recording. Wish I could send it back but don't have the time to mess around now. Biggest waste of money I've ever spent!

The Ring system is far better.

It’s shocking. The lag is terrible. By the time the app and live view load (24secs average), the person has gone!!

Router optimised for 2.4ghz on separate channel just for the Blink, router and module next to each other, 8ft from the door. 120gb fibre to the property internet. I’m meeting all the requirements for this think to run smooth, but it’s crap!
The live view loads quicker in the Alexa app!

The app, camera software etc all need some work!

To add, video quality is poor even on ‘Best’

Previously had a ring doorbell which blows this out the water!!

I get 2 seconds from button press to alert on phone and a further 7 seconds from tapping the notification to the live view being loaded. Under 10 seconds total.

Mine is also about 8ft from the router and on gigabit fibre.

Don't know why the results are so variable?

Also, whilst I agree that the video quality is sub-par compared to eufy, ring and nest, I do think it's acceptable for a front door bell.
