How does Disney+ work? Is it a code that can be redeemed on an existing account, or what happens if you're currently paying for a subscription?
    curtis392's avatar
You apply the Disney+ from this and it pauses your current subscription. I.e. you pre-paid for a year then no more days of that will be consumed until you stop getting it free from o2 and dont pay for more through o2 billing after the free period. (edited)

I currently have virgin media broadband without any phone. Am I eligible for the volt deal if I sign up to this? If so, does anyone know what the process is as it only shows the 60gb deal? Thanks
    tonyawesome69's avatar
Yes you will be able to get volt benefits once you have an O2 Pay monthly sim contract.

    Applying your Volt benefits

"If the name on your Virgin Media broadband account matches the name on your O2 mobile account, your Volt benefits will be added automatically within 14 days"

If it doesn't get applied automatically, speak to O2 online customer service. (edited)

Will this work with 5G or do you need a specific O2 5G plan ? tia
    777jrg_'s avatar
    Works with 5g
  4. skidr0w's avatar
If I purchased the £8 deal from the other day for 30gb, doubled it to 60gb with volt. If I purchased this SIM as an additional SIM for a kid would I get the volt benefits to double the data as well or is volt a once off does anyone know?. Same with Disney plus. Timed properly you can get 9 months free. Not bad (if it works) . Anyone done this volt wise on second SIM? (edited)
    tonyawesome69's avatar
Volt applies to all O2 Pay monthly sims registered at the same address.

    Benefits for your entire household
When your household’s with both of us, you’ll enjoy double the mobile data on every eligible O2 Pay Monthly plan in your household, a broadband speed boost to the next available level (if you aren’t already on the fastest speeds you can get in your area), and supercharged connectivity at home or on the move.

Also make sure to text Loyalty to 21500 with the 2nd sim to get 20% off (edited)

I have found it. Thank you so much! I had just updated a week ago or so but this one is double the data (that I won't use) and 6 months Disney or Amazon prime which will be useful for me. Hopefully won't have any issues for updating in such a short notice but I was still under the 14 says period. (edited)
    maccalen's avatar
Don't worry about the cooling off period. You can switch via uSwitch at any time, your contract just restarts. I do it all the time.

is this £10/pm + RPI still after 12 months? that's pretty good
just paid £45 to get 2gb /m for 2 years on my son's RWG + his existing 0.75gb per month for one off £15
but this is a pretty good deal beyond that!

Is there a discount on your 2nd if you buy 2 or is that only what O2 do in their stores?
    777jrg_'s avatar
There is. You need to text loyalty to 21500

Can anyone comment on how O2 is in London please? I'm currently on Talkmobile who use Vodafone and it's fine. Was previously on Three though which was awful and don't want to repeat that
    dunlop47's avatar
O2 use to be very good, but they’re now patchy ever since 5G came in. Coverage wise, major dead spots I’ve found in London have been London Bridge NR station and the Excel Centre - generally where there is a large number of people gathered in a tight area
  10. dunlop47's avatar
Is this not available for existing customers? The website conveniently crashes when I select that I’m an existing customer
    bemad's avatar
If you go through the Uswitch link it's certainly there for existing customers.

Try clearing your history/cookies and start again. Hope this helps.

Is there any cash back on this deal please?
    Dealss8's avatar
No apart from top cash back or Quidco if it ever tracks

What are the other extras options apart from Disney?

Edit: prime, audible, Amazon music, Disney (edited)
    Sebastian_Li's avatar
Is travel inclusive zone available as an extra?
  13. CheekyMunkey's avatar
Great deal for what you are getting but... Im with Virgin and have now been switched over to o2. I feel like my phone reception and Internet are both poorer than they were pre switch.
    Deal_searcher's avatar
But virgin and O2 are the same company. So I would expect the benefits of the better signal will come once they are fully integrated

perfect timing. 24m contract ended a few days ago. Going from £45pm to £10pm. 40gb data drop, but never once gone over 10gb anyway.

If RPI is negative why don’t they lower the price?

    Thanks MrSwitch. Heat added.
I was just out of contract with O2. Managed to get this deal, but had great difficulty checking out over WiFi. Every time on 2 Android and 2 windows browsers the website would hang trying to open the Eligibility Page.
I cleared all cache and cookies repeatedly with zero joy.
Eventually I turned the WiFi off and completed the purchase without any problems using 4g.
Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem. (edited)

    6 months disney plus.. hmm

Or Amazon prime which is more expensive than Disney (if you use Amazon)

    adamnsu's avatar
Hi. Can you please tell me how you upgraded? Did you do this using the O2 app??
  23. ashleytroy1's avatar
I use around 15GB-20GB a month. I did have 100GB for £17.## but now have this for only £10! My Virgin media volt will kick in and double this to 120GB that I won’t use too. Haha! Thank you

Just upgraded from my 40/80GB plan to this 60/120GB. Only down side was my Volt upgrade had just been applied to the previous, so I've dropped from 80 to 60GB data but hopefully that will be updated again soon to the 120GB. Voted hot 🔥

Can you cancel if they stop the free roaming?
    sab's avatar
This is what I'm worried about if I upgrade to this they will stop eu roaming to those that switched or upgraded to this tariff after a certain date which they usually do
  27. joerob1972's avatar
Just after a bit of advice.
Already with O2 and I have just swapped 2 sims to this tariff. Both Sims have the option of 6 months Disney plus. Is there a way to stack them to give 12 months.
    SiTheITGuy84's avatar
I am looking to find this out too. Hopefully my SIM is arriving today (needed to receive an SMS to confirm the Disney+) so I'll update you unless someone helps in the meantime.

Thanks OP, moved from 50GB for £12
  30. acidrainlte's avatar
Nice one. My contract expired 6 days ago. This gets me an extra 10GB for £4.07 less per month
    bemad's avatar
It's mad isn't it. My new monthly rate was £15.50 and now I'm paying over £10 less a month for MORE allowances. (edited)
  31. hotrol's avatar
Thanks OP, you post some great stuff . . . my S21 is still pristine so no point in upgrading, don't need unlimited data anymore (120gb is still too much, but good to have) just paid off the last £20 of my device plan when switching to this plan, so £50 a month better off now.
  32. xyz123's avatar
Is this expired now? Only 3 months Disney plus now I think

It's the same reason that sometimes smaller packets of, say, coffee at the shops will be discounted to a lower £ per kg than even the bigger packets:

1: it looks like more of a bargain so it makes people think its such a good deal and more likely to go for it
2: they can't be bothered to adjust every price so that it's all harmonious, all that matters is the advertisement and the shiny big offer
3: at least one idiot will buy the worse offer and give them more money

How do I add this to a virgin account to get volt/double data? I'm a... virgin... to Virgin so not sure how it all works.
    777jrg_'s avatar
It should be done automatically within 14 days. If it doesn't contact their customer support (after 14 days)

Just signed this same (similar deal , £12 for 50gb/100gb) deal last week for £12 via here .
Can I just add this and resign ? As within cooling off ?
Or is it a faff to cancel and redo it ? (edited)
    Suprano82's avatar
Can I just follow the link and redo this ? Will over ride what I agreed last week on £12 /50gb Deal ?
    Any help appreciated thanks

Thankfully in my area it's quite the opposite, everyone struggles with 3, ee and Vodafone in my area , stuck with O2 for almost 20 years I think
