i binned these a few years back as they dont do anonymous web surfing, iptv etc. they keep logs and logs are turned over to any government agency etc that requests them.. be careful with these guys.

I got this deal in March 2023 (my previous sub was up in may, but the cost was too attractive to pass up).

My Cashback claim went through and was paid out to my bank. So 2 years for about £4.26.

PIA sold out to KAPE few years back, KAPE owns CyberGhost and afaik is owned by a convicted crypto criminal and has a history of distributing malware. Left PIA when that happened, switched to Mullvad, never looked back.

Bought this a few weeks ago…..the Firestick app isn’t the best and regularly doesn’t connect to get a different IP. When you contact PIA support they say that the Firestick app ‘isn’t fully functional’…..so why have a Firestick app??
Worked well on my phone though…but got a refund and went for the recent Surfshark deal which seems to work as it should. Hope that helps someone.

The firestick app works reliably when changing the protocol from OpenVPN to Wireguard in the settings

I can say they don't work with Disney + or Netflix properly..

Did you use the dedicated streaming servers? They won't work unless you use one of these. The UK one for example is called UK London-Streaming.

Had this. Does the job. But so annoying that I have to complete that ridiculous "CAPTCHA" rubbish everytime I'm connected to the VPN. Anyone know how to bypass it?
    Darkle's avatar
The reason you're getting Captcha'd is because being one of the most popular VPNs, their external IPs are pretty well known. Your traffic is getting lumped in with 10s, 100s even 1000s of other searches and requests at the same time, so to the likes of Google and such you look like a bot.

The price of annonymity (or at least some level of it) is some inconvinience.

Real shame PIA don't let you extend existing subscriptions, still have 18 months on my existing one.
    cactusjack's avatar
I'm almost certain they extended mine, but I only had a few months left at the time. If you ask them via live chat if you can combine them, they might oblige.

For the adventurous, you can set up your own VPN, for free (up to about 160GB monthly usage). It's quite technical, you also need to add your credit card details, but your card won't be used if you stay in limits (just use a virtual card with a small amount on it anyway). Full details: github.com/pat…xit PS: not a huge choice of countries atm, so if you have a specific need for Turkey for example, this might not be for you. Yes I'm running this no problems (3 countries). Another nifty thing is to get tailscale installed on a computer in your home (or even a Raspberry Pi, now back in stock), and use *that* as your VPN (exit node) when you're sat at work, or abroad or whatever (with tailscale running on your phone). These tailscale guys are going places honestly (3 ex-Google employees). (edited)

Some good tips there. I use Zerotier myself which I think is similar to Tailscale.

PIA has been spot on for me, paid about 60p for 3 and a half years subscription

Wow. Just got the pending cashback come through for £40.48! Paid 43.94 for 2 years subscription so £3.46 in total. Quite frankly astounded, what a deal!!! Thanks for posting.

Surfshark has just finished, so i have given this a go. Cheers.

About £2 then after the cashback, not bad at all provided it goes through smoothly.

I've bought similar deals twice now and I think it's cost me less than a fiver for 4 years after cashback. Can't really complain
  13. Maladog's avatar
Does the cashback include the total price, if I add a private ip:?
    tek-monkey's avatar
It says not but mine tracked last year
  14. Renegade95's avatar
On Quidco it gives only 75% cashback, so this offer is better... :/ 🔥🔥🔥

How long does it take to show as ready to payout please?
    calx's avatar
    Was within 30mins for me!
  16. T_L_T's avatar
Cashback not tracking for me after over 24 hours...
    Renegade95's avatar
Same here ,cashback not tracked since purchase on 18th. :/

Ridiculously good deal. Tracked through for me okay.

Wouldn't say PIA is best in class but for basic needs is fine especially for pennies like this. (edited)
    Renegade95's avatar
So which is the best in class then? For me, PIA ticks the box asong as they don't keep the logs,if you know what I mean.

Many thanks OP. I missed the Surfshark deal, but this is still great! Cashback tracked someday as well!

Send them a message with regards no cashback tracked (Topcashback) ,with tx no, date and value. They'll investigate and get back to you. Had the same issue and messaged them, they got back to me and I can see the cashback tracked now.
