I know the reviews are bad as they copy and paste their reviews like EA does with these switch legacy releases but if I don't have any previously and want a football game for my kids does it play well?

Read the reviews for Fifa 2018 and use that to inform your decision. For £8.74 if you havent got any other fifa games on switch it is still by far the best football game on that platform. Its worth noting next year switch is supposed to be getting an actual upgrade with new game modes/graphics etc... But this may keep you happy until then. (edited)

How's it less than £10 on Nintendo but the cheapest on PlayStation is £35 😔

Because switch version is something like fifa 2017 with different players and kits, but uses the same old game engine, other consoles have a new game engine and mechanics, completely different games

It plays absolutely fine on the Switch, obviously a different experience than other consoles but for football on the go at this price you can't go wrong

Yikes. Paid £25 for the physical copy.

Son loves it so would be a snap call at this price.

I know it's the same as FIFA 19. It's good for first timers

It’s a piece of history. The last EA FIFA game on Switch. I wonder how similar FC24 will look/play.

It's running on some horrible old engine from EA... that said, for the cost of less that two pints it's probably worth a look.

I've got Fifa 19 on the Switch and never bothered to upgrade to the new versions. It's fine...

    FIFA 19 2023 edition

(to be fair, it’s a good football game to play on the go and even on tv, just nothing like the other 2023 versions) (edited)

Just bear in mind if you set it up on a kids profile, they wont be able to play online or auto-update the squads etc. This is a well known issue.

I play 20 on switch as I'm not really bothered about the updates to teams or whatever but I find it absolutely boring after about 10 minutes, I'm guessing it's not worth the upgrade to this?

It's exactly the same game. The only thing that's changed is the squad updates, kits and background music.

I hadn't played FIFA in years, went over to PES, until they turned it into what it is now, hate it. I bought this on the Switch with an offer when it released along with the PS5 version. It's not a patch on the latest gen editions, but if you've not bought FIFA like myself for a while this is perfectly serviceable on the Switch and I actually enjoyed its cut backs to some extent as they just let me focus on playing rather than all the extras what come with this gens consoles. I think it's worth this price if you don't already own FIFA 19 onwards or don't mind paying for the rosta updates as it's exactly the same game as the last 4 versions. (edited)

Better to wait for ea fc 24 which is going to be the same as the ps4 and xbox one versions on the switch now. Way better then buying this which is fifa 19 with updated squads
