SKY broadband 500mb/s £35 for 18 months or 61mb/s for £25

This is more a heads up for existing customers upgrading to 500mbs mid contract. for new customers then definitely use topcashback compare instead and get the giftcard.

Existing customers wont be able to click on the link and get it but just start a webchat with customer services. (or call them)

Theyll probably offer you the full price but if you say you saw the deal online theyll put you through to retentions. I explained about the offer and i was able to upgrade my 145mbs to 500mbs at the offer price from today for a new 18 month contract. i still had 9 months on my existing one.

my line was upgraded within 5 minutes of completing the new contract.

Not sure about this. With the Equinox 2 price cuts ISPs have now, £35 should be the MAX anyone is paying for 500. BT routinely offer 500 for £31 plus like £63.50 cashback via tcb etc.

yeh. really i posted this as more of a mid term upgrade price for existing sky customers. i was paying £33 for 145mbs with quite a while left on my contract. so £35 for 500 just seemed a no brainer.

but for new customers i would say go though topcashback compare. youll get a giftcard and tcb on top.

I think you got the 145mbs wrong.

    It's average 61mbs for £25 and not 145mbs.

i'm pretty sure i'm out of contract. been with sky fibre for years. im getting 72mb at the moment. so you just upgraded to 500mb by web chat? i just wanted to double check. did you renegociate any other products?

i only have broadband with them. i just said to them that i saw the 500mbs deal for £35 and can i have it even though im an existing customer. the guy came back and wanted 53 lol. i said no i want the deal i saw advertised for £35 if possible. he said he would put me through to retentions. that person came straight back with the £35 deal for 18 months.

you wont have to renegotiate a tv contract if youve got one. theyre treated separate. but it can sometimes be favourable to do them all together. depends how long youve got left.

only an extra £3 a month in my case

the sky retention guy said I was lucky as the deal is ending today
Make sure you get through to retentions and not India. (edited)

yes your right. to be honest it was being able to upgrade to the 500mb i thought people might be more interested in.

my brother did just get 145mbs for £25 via chat though. but he was coming to the end of his contract so might not work mid contract like this one does.

Is the £25 not for 61mb/s?

Skys website is the worst. Tried for last 2 weeks to order this. Ended up giving up and just renewing with plus net for basically the same price but without the retention offer vouchers sky were offering.

experiences vary. i know people who have had nothing but problems with BT but where fine on Sky and vice versa.. touch wood i had no real issues with either. i was with sky 5 years and only switched to BT because they where offering Fibre which sky wasnt at the time. then BT kept getting more expensive and wouldnt budge on price so i moved back to Sky.
