    Good perk if you have both. But found BT broadband very expensive once your contract is up. Hence moving to another supplier. Yet EE mobile price they gave me to stay couldn’t beat it anywhere. (edited)

    It's true, however, I had it for years and never had an issue with it. It was pretty slow tho, but nobody had a faster connection back in time.

    I did this a few weeks ago on one of my family sims on a 10GB plan that was offered as a retention deal about 18m ago. But it turns out the plan data was split into a 3GB plan + 7GB 'loyalty' bonus, so EE only doubled the 3GB 'plan' data. So went from 10GB to 13GB.

    Mine was similar (1gb plan with 5gb loyalty bonus add-on). Still 1gb extra is better than nothing.

    Double data if you have contracts with the most expensive broadband provider AND the most expensive mobile SIM provider

    Alternatively, get the same amount of mobile data for less by just going with a cheaper provider.

    EE generally has the best coverage and fastest network though, as well as customer service which is far better than you'll get with Three or Vodafone. It's not just about paying the bare minimum for your GBs.

    EE & BT Double Data: Available to selected new and existing EE customers on a pay monthly handset plan or selected SIM only phone plans who also have an existing eligible BT Broadband Plan. Both accounts to be registered to the same account holder at the same address to benefit from a double data boost on their registered EE Plan. Double data applicable to all numbers registered on the EE account. Double data applied to core data allowance only. One eligible EE account per BT account. Consumer plans only. You can only have one double data offer per EE mobile account. If either the EE or BT account has an outstanding overdue balance, the double data will be removed. If you are no longer an eligible EE or BT customer, double data will be removed. No cash alternative. May take up to 24 hours to activate.

    Me and the wife both got a message telling us we can get double data if we text 150. We both did it and it worked. I get 125gb of data per month but my plans set up as a 10gb plan with various add ons etc making it up to 125gb. They only doubled the 10gb so I now get 135gb a month and not 250gb.

    My wife was on a basic 5gb plan as I gift her data each month and it was doubled to 10gb. (edited)

    BT was solid but left them after 13 years because a new company offered FTTP here and had a crazy offer. EE is a great network here but also left them when they introduced their new roaming policy... (edited)

    Who cares, the CS is the same - no one knows anything- managed to cancel contract after 2 months being on contract as system is sh$t and the same as CS :/

    Nice one! I have 107gb data per month (all made up of various add ons and discounts that started with a 5gb plan), so the double data just added another 5gb but that’s 112gb p/month now so all good

    Good offer but I'm wondering whether or not, given the market leading position of BT Group, this is potentially anti-competitive. Looking at the cost of double data on EE without this offer, the savings are very significant and seem to undercut almost all competing offers.

    To answer my own question, no, they won't let you double data if you're on an EE broadband contract.

    I have a BT broadband but it doesn’t work. Says “Sorry, you aren't eligible for double data as you have no BT broadband product associated with this mobile number.” Even though the phone number is the same on the BT account…!
