About this deal
Here is how I done it....
Step 1: Signed out of all YouTube accounts (I'm on android so had to sign completely out of that Google account)
Step 2: Downloaded Urban VPN (Free version)
Google Play: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbanvpn.android
App Store: apps.apple.com/us/app/urban-vpn/id1517016374
Step 3: Via Urban VPN connect to Pakistan
Step 4: Via chrome incognito mode I signed into my Google account
Step 5: Added a payment method to my Google Account as none were previously added (I used my UK debit card - Lloyds)
Step 6: When prompted to input address I generated a random Pakistan address using bestrandoms.com/ran…-pk and used that as my address. I did not input the post code
Step 7: I searched for YouTube Premium and 3 options displayed ( 1. Individual PKR 479.00/month 2. Family and 3. Student - can't remember exact costs, think family was 899.00/month and Student 399.00/month)
Step 8: Selected Individual (said I could upgrade if need be) which included a 1 month free trial so total today's payment was 0.00. My payment method was already stored so I clicked 'BUY'.
Step 9: I was prompted for a secure checkout with my bank and authorised the payment (0.00) via my banking app.
Step 10: Purchase was complete and I was welcomed to YouTube Premium
Step 11: I signed into YouTube via the App and Web... job done!

Before all the countless questions arise about how do I add family members to my YT Premium family plan AFTER i've done this...................you don't!
You need to create your Google family group BEFORE signing up to an off region premium family plan via VPN.
If you do this the wrong way round and add people afterwards the family plan group members will get Google services based on the region you've added them to.

This is a great idea if you can get it to work. Unfortunately I couldn't (possibly because I was using the wrong VPN) There are other alternatives though, were you can share someone else's family subscription. I don't think I'm allowed to promote the website name but it allows you to 'go 50/50' on subscription fees

AuthorYes it does. Once you sign in it works as normal from the UK with no issues.
Cheaper via Turkey

This tutorial can work with existing families, and even existing Youtube premium subscription!
Optional: Create your family group.
1/ Make sure the family manager is of the same country than the future members. The country is defined as follow:
- Go to payments.google.com/
- Go to settings
- Check "Payments profile for Google Pay"
- If there is just one, then look at country/region
- If there is none, you will be prompted to add a new payment profile. Make sure to select UK, or the country of your family member. Also make sure to add a payment method.
- If there are many payment profiles, remove those extra by choosing "Close payment profile" in "Payments profile status" section
2/ Go to families.google/int…es/ and choose get started.
3/ Invite your family member, and make sure they approve
Step one: Setup the correct payment profile
0/ Optional: Terminate any existing Youtube premium subscription in youtube settings
1/ Go to payments.google.com/, then Go to settings. Check "Payments profile for Google Pay".
2/ Look at the country/region of your payment profile. It should be UK (or the one of your family).
3/ Remove the payment profile, or all payment profiles if there are many, by choosing "Close payment profile" in "Payments profile status" section.
4/ Create a new payment profile.
- Choose an address as per the generator, and do not input postcode
- Add a payment method. Any UK debit card works, as long as you do not input post code
- Authentify with your bank (3D secure), they should debit 0.00 PKR
Step two: Subscribe to youtube premium
1/ Download Urban VPN (Free version) as per the tutorial
- Google Play: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbanvpn.android
- App Store: apps.apple.com/us/app/urban-vpn/id1517016374
2/ Enable VPN with location Pakistan
3/ Logout from your Google account in your browser
4/ Go to youtube.com and login
5/ Open Premium section in settings, and choose the offer. They should appear in PRK
6/ Use the payment method previously defined.
7/ The payment gets authorised, and subscription starts!
If you had an existing expiring offer, the billing will start after the end of the existing billing period
8/ You can disconnect from VPN and enjoy

Think I've set it up correctly but it won't let me add to my family group, keep getting the message

I simply made new emails using a Turkish vpn, and added the emails myself to the family group using the vpn on.

This is how I did it. I used Urban VPN (surf shark didn't work for me) on my phone and created a new Google play account. Once created I used my laptop for the next part. I logged onto my new Google account and in settings I went to "payments & subscriptions" then "manage the payment methods" then went to the "addresses tab" and I entered a fake Pakistan address (one from those random address generators). I then went back on my phone with VPN on and went to my YouTube account and proceeded to pay for premium. I used Monzo. It all worked. I think the important part was having a fake address to begin with.

Also worth considering newpipe or similar, not had a youtube advert for years
I have newpipe it's not as good as YouTube vanced with newpipe you can't respond to people's comments and it's not laid out as well as YouTube that being said it does block and the ads and you can still listen when the screen is off. This is a great deal and I'm even thinking about giving it a try if I can get a family account for the same price

ReVanced no longer works since the developers got a cease and desist from Google and they binned it. Such a shame, I only just discovered it too, worked for about 2 days but now every video I play stops about 20 seconds in and just goes black

I tried this last time. After trying to sign up it all went wrong then someone in pakistan tried going on a spending spree with my card details. Don't trust Urban VPN for this reason. Anyone want to add me to their family plan????
Yup. I was credit card frauded for £208 three years ago not long after using an app for a local takeaway. 1st time ever. I got the money back but it wasn’t cut & cry if I would or not, the store the London-based fraudster/fraud ring used (fitbit) had to agree for me to be refunded in fact. and it dragged on for 2 months. Ever since then I won’t put my card into anything except PayPal, Amazon, BT, Google et al. Big companies with with 2 factor authentication. no vpns, crypto apps etc. simply not worth the risk. Could’ve stolen 5 grand & no doubt would’ve done if I hadn’t spotted, lucky it was only 200. (edited)

If you setup another gmail account just for youtube premium you can just switch it in the app. I use Argentina with a fee free card and can watch youtube and cast it to tv no problem. Also you get Youtube music premium with it. The only downside obviously is if they do cancel that account you lose video history and music playlist but its not the end of the world. Well worth it for around £1 a month depending on exchange rates. If you only want it on your android device without casting try revancedextended or an alternative.
Just download YouTube revanced if your on android
This gives YouTube music too (Spotify equivalent), and you can watch ad free on TV (e.g. on WebOS LG OLED TVs). I pay for the family plan (6 people included) for less than 2 pounds a month (less than 40p per person per month), so nothing to worry about. Also I found at one point Vanced no longer worked with my Google account, so that was frustrating.
Use your chase card and they will give you 68p every month with round up
They don’t give it to you. lol. Round up is they take the next nearest pound from your account and put it into a savings account. So in this case would be 68p. It’s not them giving you money.

I've been trying all day to get this to work but can't get it to accept payment ("this purchase requires a payment method from your billing country OR_RECR_05") Even tried my cryptocard and it still gets the same error message. Yes I'm using a VPN. Yes I have signed out of everything and tried it in Incognito mode.
