Microsoft 365 Monthly Subscription Via Turkey (No VPN) @OneDrive via Apple Turkey

Posted 22nd Jul 2023
Okay, got this working when l missed out on the free Ninja Frying Pan (could not access my messages as it was full) So decided to get Microsoft 365, checked HUKD first, if anyone made a deal, but could not find any, Google led me to Australia equivalent to HUKD and sharing.

So Full acknowledgment/Praise to Smell Pennies

l have made adjustment to reflect UK. If you follow the guide (If l can do it, trust me, you can)
It will work faultlessly

One thing though, if you can, try and make a NEW EMAIL for it (the email/sign id will come useful for other purposes as well, will get to that) Reason? If you use existing email, chances are its already registered with one of your apple devices which means going through changing regions etc etc and more importantly, when it comes to giving share links for the product, it`s a pain to delete and reassign emails in family (It can be done, but trust me, you don`t want the PITA)
Note: Turkey prices are only obtainable, if you subscribe through the Microsoft One Drive app (Download from App Store Turkey)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Part 1 - Turkey Apple ID

1) If you already have a Turkey Apple ID, proceed to Part 2 (Yes, some are so ahead of, us mere mortal and do have Turkey Apple ID, if that`s you GOTO Part 2

2) If you DO NOT have a Turkey Apple ID: Strongly recommended creating one, see above.

1. Create a Turkish Apple ID by going to appleid.apple.com/acc…unt2. Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section, use your UK mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose the country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID.3.Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this(appleid.apple.com) link to enter a Turkish address ( Google is your friend, you know (best random) or the local embassy in Turkey) to your Turkish Apple ID. Select payment method as "none" and savePart 2 - Loading your Turkey Apple ID with Turkey Apple Gift Cards

1. Buy TL (₺) iTunes gift cards (Make sure you only buy Turkish ones, starts from 25 TL up to 1000
denominations) from (Again, google is your friend if the link is removed, Turgame)
Note, Once you add to basket/cart MAKE SURE, YOU CHANGE CURRENCY FROM UK TO TRY ₺
TurGame
(turgame.com) > Choose currency as TL/TRY (MAKE SURE, YOU CHANGE CURRENCY FROM UK TO TRY ₺) and pay with a debit/credit card (use a card that has no international transaction fees to avoid the any extra costs. I am sure all true Hukder have Revolut/Monzo by now).
All transactions will have a certain "Payment Partner Fee" attached - at checkout, choose "Credit or debit card - PAYTR" for the lowest payment partner fee (it's very small)

2. Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases ( Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID)3. Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code.

Part 3 - Downloading OneDrive

1. Once signed in with your Turkish Apple ID, download OneDrive from the app store(apps.apple.com). If you already have OneDrive installed using your Australian Apple ID, proceed to Part 4 (If it cheekily offers you the 100GB upgrade, decline, goto Home/Press and will give you other options/Go premium/Upgrade Storage/ It`s the 6TB ₺23.99 (see plan prices at the bottom) on Family Plan myself, best value personally, but if you want less upto, but avoid the basic, it`s terrible value for money imho.

Part 4 - Subscribing to Microsoft 365

1. Boot up the OneDrive app and sign up or sign in. Click on Menu > Upgrade to Premium. You should be able to see Turkish Lira prices for monthly subscriptions.
Where are the annual subscription options? You will not see any annual subscriptions, nor be able to subscribe to it directly from the app, as Microsoft hasn't loaded any annual options into Apple's In-App Purchases

Still seeing UK prices? Restart your device

2. Subscribe to your desired plan. Apple will deduct from your Apple ID Balance as payment each month. (l subscribed to the Family plan share up to 6)
Note: If you've never signed up to a plan before, Microsoft will offer you a free 1-month trial, followed by monthly Turkey prices thereafter, my subscription starts tomorrow after the free 1 month trial and no issue at all! If you made it this far, well done! Enjoy your subscription Comparable price packages ( Rates may be lower/higher as your bank)

Not sure if Google store allows subscription like the Apple, l mean whereby you stack up/loads App store with the itune voucher and it takes it from your balance.

Can this entire process not be circumvented by creating a new Outlook account based in Turkey?
