Matter compatible so should work with all the common smart home services. Its a lot smaller than other ones I have seen too!

Also the energy monitoring may help with understanding your energy usage during the high prices atm.

    £30.99 for 4 pack ordered

Just a heads up that the 4-pack doesn't have Matter support - it's the P110 model, not the P110M model listed here.

This was £9.99 just over a week ago (and yes, it was the M version). (edited)

That was then, this is now.

Honestly, why do people post 'it was £X [sometime in the past]' comments? How does it help anyone? They can’t go back in time and take advantage of the price, and unless there's an established pattern of price reductions, there's no guarantee its going to be that price (or cheaper) in the future.

Picked up the non matter(p110) 2 pack last week, the app is pretty good and has improved over time. For the technically inclined, there's a security white paper on this device and a program to interface with the service it exposes on the lan.

Home assistant compatible too (via HACS)

I have a number of the Tapo P110 plugs on my more energy consuming devices in order to keep track of exactly what each device is using. Very easy to set up and use, either via the Tapo app, or my preferred option of Amazon Alexa.

The only thing that I have noticed with them is that on occasion, they seem to "stick" so won't turn off or on - the remedy for this being to tap them, either against the surface of something or with something as the relay inside is more than likely stuck. It doesn't happen very often, but out of the 8 I have installed, I'd say half of them have thus far suffered with the issue.

Yeh I've sent back 2 that had this problem out of the 8 I've had. Will try this tap method next time

Could this be used with an electric heater?

Yeah I use mine on one, I think the max load I saw was 2400watts in the box

Matter from my understanding are they using my router as hub ? Maybe I'm wrong
I mean they just anther IP device on the LAN network maybe similar as IFTTT devices on the LAN " just called Matter "
I can see the advantage do not need to use ZigBee hub or Zwave hub
But imagine my LAN 2.4 Ghz network dealing with say 50 Hue Matter bulbs and other devices 2.4 GHz band will be overloading of so many devices + router will work extra harder to maintain these devices
Im not using 2.4 Ghz on router so does not really matter
    Anyway just my view

Is there a reason for having energy monitoring on a smart plug on an ongoing basis?

Presumably a device can’t draw more power than stated on its input/output label/box?

And once you know the max load of a device, or its load in a specific usage state, do you need to keep mentoring it?

Quite right, I bought one to monitor a couple of devices but now it’s just a regular smart plug in use. Of course the app keep a record of the usage, whether you review it or not.

It's for context, we are only talking about last week not last year. This device only came a couple of weeks ago and Amazon up and down their prices like a lady of the night!

It's called knowing the market! Obviously if I said it was this price x years ago that's a very different thing isn't it.

I presume you are the type of person who buys the only week when the DFS sale is no longer on as says, well that was then and this is now. Happy getting ripped off. (edited)

If someone is that hard pressed for getting the absolute best price, they'll have the Keepa / Camel plugins and will see the item price history, or they'll pop it on a price tracking Watchlist/Wishlist. Some people don’t need the absolute best price, they want a decent deal that's available now.

Oh and there's never a time when DFS doesn't have a sale on Just like other companies (Domino's etc) they artificially inflate their prices so they can always have deals to promote.

Connected this with my smartthings but Energy monitoring is not working with my smartthings. Does anyone have this issue?
