I bought this during Black Friday and the picture quality is absolutely amazed.
A few key points that convinced me to go for this model, Google TV OS (newer version of Android TV), one of the latest chipset (Pentonic 700), 512 local dimming zones, 600cd/m3 brightness which much better compared to other TV at this price range
If you want to study about the details spec:

this Mini LED would be better that an older 2020 full array QLED top of the range Q90T from Samsung.
In terms of picture quality, I am sure must be for gaming.

Been considering this TV but having never owned a TCL TV, after reading some of the comments on the AVForums about the brand it certainly has me questioning whether It's going to have lots of problems.

I agree with this, spending nearly a grand without a 5 year warranty would worry me slightly

I got this a few weeks ago, it's excellent and I'm comparing to my oled's.

Would this be the best Sub £1000 TV thats 65"?
dont play games just for sky and all the streaming apps.

If you don’t play games you don’t really need 144hz
im sure regular 60hz 4k TV’s would be cheaper

So this is £25 off their normal price? OP your intro post is a bit misleading comparing against Amazon at £899, when this product has been £849 at Hughes and many other retailers for a loooong time

How much is it now though. No point comparing against prices if they no longer exist.

Can’t understand if it’s 144hz or 120? Can someone enlighten me please?

Be aware you may not be able to play itvx or iplayer on this telly. They come loaded but are unavailable as tcl don’t licence them

They work fine on my older c729k model so should work fine on this

Anyone know what the difference is between this model and the C845K? TIA
    davew2011's avatar
845 is brighter and has more local dimming zones , possibly a newer chipset too

Really interested in the C805 but I've read some comments about issues with gameplay on Series X and PS5. Possibly relating to being used with 120hz.

Can anybody comment with their experiences? (edited)

I had their 65 inch QLED which is Google TV. Was cheaper but certainly not cheap. The picture easily compared with more expensive brands. Amazing for the price. the built in onkyo speakers competed with a good basic soundbar, really decent "full" sound. The UI was glacial, at times verging on unusable. Had to hard reboot often for it to be useable. Would take an age to boot if left on standby. Sold it on after a few months for half what I paid. Never again.
