Aah if only we all lived near an accessible FF, HF, Co Shop etc. Lots of decent priced stuff to easily make £25 spend. No p&p

Find these don't crumble nicely anymore like they once did (for cake / trifle toppings). They are much stickier now.

probably all the oil cadburys use since Kraft/Mondelez

Good luck finding another twenty quid worth of stuff you actually need to hit the minimum order value. Another DD gimmick.

    You struggle? Ok

    Shouldn't 144 x Flake 99 be Flake 14,256?

    Took the bate.

Got the max 5 of the 18 cafepods for 99p which is a steal too. Then 12 packets of Thai chilli sensations.

We'd be buying chocolate and crisps anyway and these prices are very reasonable.

My only disappointment this January has been the lack of decent beer offers. Last January I bought enough of the hoppy Xmas brewdog IPA from discount dragon to last me until October. Was waiting for that to drop again. (edited)

Yep if people are astute shoppers and feel that to get the flakes (or any other 'entice deal' they struggle to get to £25 then they should not be buying this box. But if you can get stuff that you want /use like you have then then yes go for it.

Unfortunately, I bought stuff from DD pre xmas and I don't need anything so won't be buying this Flake box. I will not be swayed either by my daughters puppy dog eyes (just in case you're reading this missy!) (edited)

Cadbury Outlet stores were selling these for £6 a box before Christmas (Fleetwood, Cheshire Oaks, Swindon and others). Not been since to check, but seemed to be an ongoing deal.

Amazon were selling for £12.20 and that got voted hot!

Easy to do. Make a mess though

Horrible Mondelez chocolate (nothing like true Cadbury's), made in Egypt for ice cream vendors, very short dated and the minimum spend is a multiple of this. If that's all OK go ahead.
  9. jimmiedodger's avatar
I've banned Cadbury's i used to love their chocolate ,but they sold the business to Kraft foods who ruined the taste of its chocolate products by adding palm oil,i find it revolting imho

Try the dairy milk bars, which have classic creamy taste written on them. They taste a lot more like they used to.

I had a childhood friend whose mum used to make the most amazing milky hot chocolate with cream and a mini flake on top. Anytime I see these I think of that dreamy drink!

Should be illegal to post a discount dragon deal without suggestions for the full £25 basket!

People vote hot deals they don’t buy and have no intention of buying without reading the post title. I also suspect if you pay hukd you get a heat boost. Otherwise what explanation is there for this rubbish deal to be top deal of the day? Pfff

From your history most of your comments are pointless /aggressive. Seems you're angry?

It's not for me or you to dictate how people vote. They do so of their own free will based on merit regardless of their intentions to buy or not to buy.

Please do leave such a vehement comment on the regular big deal posters and see what backlash you get. Or post a deal yourself

Quite a few of these deals are on a market stall local in my local town. And cheaper- anchovy sauce, garlic sauce, almond fingers, cartons of tomatoes more than what I'd have thought. Farmfoods/heron foods have a few of these products too. Must be a North/south thing. There's not very many sparkling deals imo. I got a box of crisps iirc last time, rest got chucked in a cupboard, don't think I've used any of the other stuff. Got a big fat pickle in a bag too. One day I'll eat it.

    28.8 mini flakes per £1.
If say 2 mini flakes = 1 standard size flake (i.e. when you buy a 4-pack at Supermarket)
Your getting 14.4 standard size flakes per bar instead of 4 for a £1.
Even if you were to say 3 mini flakes = 1 standard size flake, your getting 9.6 flakes instead of 4 for a £1.

So good deal! If not eating quick, might want to put the box in a food bag to keep fresh.

Bought these from Amazon when they had them on offer, got refunded because they arrived broken, well a lot of them, glad I did as they just don't taste the same, sickly sweet now. Still got about 100 left as gave some away. Previous comments are right they don't flake anymore they kind of fracture, perhaps they should rename them Cadbury Frack

    A gross box of Flakes.
  25. DuckDuck86's avatar
Every time I've seen this offer, over the years...

I known the flake in my next cheap(insanely expensive) ice cream vans best before date.

Not that I care, the dates a little silly with a flake.

Don’t buy these if you want to melt the chocolate. I bought them, and now I have a full case left, because the chocolate doesn’t melt
    nik1's avatar

That's not what you said first time round. I saw it before you deleted. I have a screenshot and will now require 50 bitcoin .

Really, they don't melt. Even in hot choc or bae Marie?

There was an ice-cream man on our local news complaining that Flakes were too crumbly to put in his 99s.
Are those these? Or have they changed the recipe again.

I've bought once from Discount Dragon mainly coffee/alcohol. But I now can find most of their items from shops on the High Street for a lot cheaper.
