Thanks to for finding it. They posted it at £373, and immeditely a minute later currys put up price. However, £391 is still a steal and there's more than 10 still available.

Fingers crossed the condition is good, if not, plenty of people seem to say currys ebay are good to deal with (i haven't had personal experience)

I was thinking of buying myself to try (even Grade B) but I already have too many consoles and no time to play on them 😄

for my part, I've ordered this indiegogo.com/pro…286 and since that doesnt arrive till end of march, i've ordered this rog ally deal to tide me over until then. Was trying to get a cheap Legion Go, but couldn't refuse a £391 rog ally (it seems 550 is the cheapest a legion go is going for on ebay)

I have one of these from new - the SD reader failing was the biggest flaw combined with ASUS and Currys dreadful attitude, lies and handling. Arguably my biggest regret with this, had this not happened, I'd probably have been happy with it.

I suggest anyone who is getting one checks the SD card reader or assumes it's broken and makes alternative arrangements. If I had paid £391 for mine, I'd consider that a compromise. The system is extremely fast to the point you can plug it into a dock and use it as an entire PC replacement if you wanted. Not everything is compatible with it (I couldn't coax Fortnite to run) and a few others but broadly speaking it's a solid device especially if you get it cheap like this. Don't expect amazing battery life and you should be good to go.

Care to share a bit more on this one? I bought from Currys, but as I was outside the initial returns period, just went straight to Asus for support/RMA for the SD reader failure. It was collected by DPD and came back within 9 calendar days, had no issues at all and kept updated at each stage.

Are refurb B's normally decent from currys? Think I will order and take the chance. Too good a price not to!
    plewis00's avatar
Yes, even their C grade are often fine.

Yes it's refurbished but a good price for the Z1 Extreme version from Currys ♨️
    Tired.Ben.Affleck's avatar
    it's a B condition for a reason. Not A.

    Z1 extreme aswell. That's tempting....
    clavier3895's avatar
Not as tempting as the steamdeck oled
This is good if you like being attached to the wall

Yes, it's running windows 11 and is basically a mini PC

dammm im tempted and already have steam deck. This is a good freaking deal. Depsite its small issues.
    plewis00's avatar
Got a Steam Deck as well, at £391, this is a no-brainer and the issues seem less significant at this price.

I'm sooo tempted but I just can't risk receiving one with the screen being scratched or the body scuffed. (edited)

most likely SD card reader is dead.

Great value, it's just the known SD card reader issues that concern me. I see a comment here hotukdeals.com/com…950 saying they ordered the refurb A one and it arrived with this very fault.

Makes me wonder how many of these are customer returns for that very reason and whether the SD reader is actually tested during the refurbishment process.

I think cosmetically these could look pristine still (battered outer box maybe) but if you plan on using an SD card be sure to test the reader when it arrives.

Crazy that now says 67 sold (was initially 6 sold when I saw it). and there's still 'over 10' avaialble. I wonder how many total they have!

Currys must have been stocking these up to all sell before the JanJoy code ebay code expires today? (edited)

Hope you get a decent one. Ordered 3 laptops from Curry's clearance and all 3 went back with obvious problems which they should have been aware of.

What's the return process like? Is it pretty seamless?
  14. skinrush's avatar
I've just sent one of these back to Currys eBay store (paid £419). It had an SD card reader issue.
    gadget68's avatar
Can you please let us know what the issue was, did it just not work or did it overheat and destroy your SD card etc? Thanks!
  15. The_Knight_'s avatar
I really would avoid. Most of these would have been returned because of the SD card reader.
    Tornado_Gale's avatar
but surely if its refurbished it would have been checked and fixed?
Also if it comes with 12 months warranty what's the harm?

How can you say they would have been returned for that reason? (edited)
  16. jondom's avatar
you would be impressed how many of these are faulty and just sat in a warehouse, PC world and ASUS do not have a service agreement so when it fails they take it in for repair, it sits for 3 weeks and then you become eligible for a refund/replacement. I assume ASUS and PC world then never come to an agreement and these are then quick tested, seen as to be "working" and punted on their ebay store with a discount.

    Sold out.

Think I managed to snag the last one. If it's just the SD reader that's failed, the saving will cover a 2TB SSD.
