I'd shop around first if you want both items, only 1 year warranty on Argos LG's

In most cases if you shop around you'd pay around the same or £50 more on a package of both items, but have a 5 year piece of mind of warranty

Costco LG 77" c3 £2349 + £300+ for a Nintendo Switch £100 cheaper than Argos deal and 5 year Warranty
    Hughes LG 65" G2 £1349 + £300+ for Nintendo Switch £50 more but 5 year warranty

As a quick couple of examples (edited)

Under EU rules, a seller must repair, replace, or give you a full or partial refund if something you buy turns out to be faulty or doesn't look or work as advertised. You always have the right to a minimum 2-year guarantee, at no cost. However, national rules in your country may give you extra protection

This is an example of why this isn't a very good deal.

This TV from Amazon is £1,079
The same TV Argos is £1,299.99 but you get a "free" Switch OLED.
The Switch OLED from Amazon is £294.99

It is only worth it if you plan on buying the Switch as it'll save you £74. Otherwise, it's not a free Switch .
    It's a slightly reduced one.

Thank you for taking the time for writing your comment richh. Do you think this applies to all the listed TVs as well? Even if you save £74, that could still be helpful, and you could buy more ice creams on your holiday during the summer. Just as a simple example.

Such a weird bundle, a 4K TV bundled with a 1080p console, couldn't they have bundled a PS5 digital or something? (edited)
    Weehamish's avatar
    Answer is...

    1. Switch end of life... switch 2 coming... need rid of stock.

    2. Ps5 is way more expensive...

    Tv is £879 at Amazon
    dvdphile's avatar
Yeah, but how much is a new Switch OLED?
  5. Scandalicious's avatar
Only went and pulled the trigger… Anyone wanna buy a switch? I already have one
    hotrol's avatar
If you already have a switch why didn't you buy the TV cheaper elsewhere as per examples above?
  6. A_L123's avatar
Can you return the tv to keep the Switch?
    BlueCreek's avatar
Yes I’ve bought 5 for eBay.
  7. mart321's avatar
Is there a deal here anywhere? TVs seem overpriced to compensate for the switch. I also don't recommend anyone buy an expensive TV without a 5 year warranty. New switch announcement appears to be imminent as well.
  8. Disney1987's avatar
Yeah agree weird bundle. Switch OLED is OLED output on the console when hand held only, not the TV isn’t it?
    Foxeh's avatar
    I don’t understand the question??
I think you need to learn what OLED is.

Of course an OLED Switch is not going to turn your TV into an OLED TV.

OLED refers to the hardware composition of the display, it’s not a “software feature”. (edited)

Has anyone returned the TV and how much do you get back? Do you get to keep the switch oled for £155 in the end?
    yapcm96's avatar
Just messaged their help desk and this is what I got. Should I go ahead and do it?

Has anyone successfully returned the TV and kept the switch at £155..spoke to someone on chat yesterday and they said both have to be returned together as it's a bundled deal?
    BlackAdam's avatar
I did better: not collected TV and was refunded £850
  13. Ginxie's avatar
£3.95 shipping kills any good deal here

Can you not get the LG 42 C3 for £685 from LG Direct with Blue Light Discount?
    BlueCreek's avatar
Yes but apparently spending £300+ on a switch is a red hot deal…
  16. jamesdew's avatar
I mean if you genuinely were just about to buy an expensive oled TV AND an oled switch it's not a bad deal but it why is this so hot?
    speediemc's avatar
    My thoughts exactly

I mean, 7% off Argos with reward gateway & 10% Completesavings cashback... not too bad!

I'm still rocking my 65" C8PLA though, never put a foot wrong. 5 years this year I believe I've had it. (edited)

I have a C2, CX, GX and my original B6V and they’ve all been fantastic. The B6V is nearly 8 years old and zero issues. (edited)

By the package and return the TV
    BlackAdam's avatar
Wouldn’t you then get £700 back only ? 309 for switch

You have to go all the way to the he end checkout to see this price

Great deal if your in the market for a fancy TV and don't have a Switch, given its the nations favourite gaming console and a highly desirable product. HOT deal. Mario Odyssey and what not should leak great on this TV
  24. Cremoso99's avatar
Only 1 year guarantee? Don't these normally have a 5 year one?
    Waka69's avatar
Only the G series I believe
  25. 1question's avatar
Is it worth spending £300 on a Switch when Switch 2 is all but confirmed to come out this year? Also, how's 48 vs 42in on a 100cm desk?
    AnimeDude92's avatar
Really this year, what? Xmas time?

  27. Xanda's avatar
Not much of a deal here. I bought a 65" B36 only 3 days ago but the price + discount at Richer Sounds, Currys, etc. is so much lower and there's plenty of codes/deals about. You're just absorbing the cost of the Switch in to the TV on this. (edited)
  28. robbiet's avatar
If anybody is looking to buy the 55’’ one, I can get it for £1039 direct from LG & you can just give me the £260 extra instead of trying to sell the switch

Did you do that with an offer like this?
  30. honestiain's avatar
Not the best. Could have bought them both separately last week for less.
    55 c3 was 960 @ Costco.
  31. amygreen79677's avatar
If I buy and then decide I don’t like the TV, sending it back within the return window for a full refund, do I get to keep the Switch as it was “Free” when buying the TV?
    Stetec's avatar
It's not so much free, as included. So I'd imagine you'd have to give it back. Because you got it "free" based on you buying the tv. If you return it, you've bought nothing.
  32. Cameron92's avatar
Are any of the 65 inch prices actually competitive?
  33. Almond_Apollo's avatar
Hi, I’m after a switch console.
    What’s your advice on this?
Can I buy the TV and keep the switch for £155??
    Thanks
